The defensive position that wh**ever lie or perceived foul deed is perpetrated by the current president (whoever that may be at the time) is perfectly acceptable as long as it has been perpetrated by any past president and the person doing it is of my ideological persuasion;

Thereby justifying and condoning ongoing corruption in the name of...well, what? Ideology? Or 'I just like the way that person lies'?

By this logic we are stupidly naive to anticipate t***hfulness, deserve what we get and have no need for the vetting process...just v**e a party ideology.

So there is no Republic.

What jumped out for me from what you said is the naïve thought that some of us do not lie. Is lying bad? If you your wife asks you if she is getting fat or if your son asks you if you like the his French horn playing in the living room. To say that there is someone out there it the real world that doesn't lie is terribly naïve. For starters, we want people to lie to us and we certainly must be aware that it would be virtually impossible for someone to get elected to major offices without telling us mostly what we want to hear, regardless what is true.

We were quick to absolve Bush of responsibility for lying about the weapons of mass destruction and Lyndon Johnson for lying about the Bay of Tonkin.

How do you define a lie? For me, it is saying something that we know at the time we say it is not true and it is said to manipulate us and it is significant.

I think that if a politician you support tells you something that is not true or turns out not to be true, you probably wouldn't think it was a lie. If a politician you didn't support said exactly the same thing, you would more than likely think it was an impeachable offense.

Let's be real: all humans lie and we often want them to. The important issue is, how important is the lie, For what purpose is the lie, and is the liar a Republican or Democrat?

A note: When I was in kindergarten, just before Christmas, my father sat me on his knee and told me there is no Santa Clause and I couldn't tell anyone else because they had been told something that wasn't true. I felt on top of the world because I knew the t***h and my other kindergarteners were being lied to and didn't know it.

We are all partly evil. The difference is some of us are aware of other's evil and totally unaware of our own. Someone once said something to the affect that we can see the speck in the eyes of others and not allow ourselves to be aware of the log in our own eye.

That woman proved she is ignorant as well as stupid. How could she EVER come to the conclusion that the government would pay for her home, car, gas, etc. without her doing any work at all. One could see that she alone created her dream and is frustrated that Obama didn't make it come true. I'm sure all the claims she dreamed that Obama made were simply her dumb fantasy.

And, of course, this article came from the teaparty.org site. Why did you even present this to the forum? Except for those already brainwashed, anyone reading the article would come to the same conclusion as I.

The TP has already claimed that some woman claimed her insurance premiums rose and etc. (you all know about that ad that was proved to be a farce). All I can say is that those who present another farce can't have too much in the brain category. I think the Koches should change their attack agency because they seem to simply repeat the same ridiculousness. Not even anything original - just another repeat!

You need to believe that, but it is bogus. Call or drop in to your local welfare office and ask they who get what and who get nothing. You would be surprised. However, you will not do that, because you do not want facts, you want to fuel your h**e with your welfare free rider fantasy. Did you know they get free $5,000 wedding and engagement ring sets, free flat screen TVs. chocolate chip cookies and ice cream, and Johnny Walker Black Label Scotch and a BMW to drive to the welfare office. Quit the bull s**t. Get some accurate information and a life.

Don't worry people like me get stuck w/ the fare for your share.

She howled about what she would get from Obama in 2008 and the understanding words she said were said just recently. Some people have to learn the hard way and she is surely one of them.

Can you provide some proof concerning the woman who said her health insurance premiums didn't go up?

Hey, Alicia, is there any chance that you get those 3 - 5 e-mails from the DCCC and other Democrat groups every day that I get, for some reason? You sure do talk like the people those things are aimed at.

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't save every article I read. I do believe it was last year when that ad was exposed. The woman in it was hired. After doing the math, journalists discovered that she was paying no more than her previous insurance premiums.

Can you really believe a person stupid enough to have created her fantasy. Did she really think he was creating a utopia? A child wouldn't fall for that. I maintain she was also paid and the TPers truly need some new propagandists. Their present ones seem to be unable to come up with anything new.

You seem to be under the impression that "anyone" can take advantage of these "benefits." WRONG! :!: :!: Different individuals might be eligible for some of these "gifts" but very few. Section 8 housing does not pay the inhabitants' utilities! I don't think very much of a person who believes that the government is going to take care of them totally so they might be able to live at a higher level. Seems to me that there is something missing upstairs.

Why is it that a situation in which one individual complains "about the right thing" (the desired thing) this identical condition is occurring to all of the 47%. But if you've heard of a few who have received a benefit here and another few received a benefit there, you suddenly assume that these benefits are given to all 47% of the population? Why don't you consider being a little more realistic and use the critical mind you were given.

Wanker,
You don’t know any people in Philly or anywhere else who have gotten what you described. You are making that up. It didn’t happen. I told you how you could find out the facts if for any reason you wanted to know the facts but you would rather try to pass off your bull s**t than deal with reality. That is dishonest and makes things even harder for those who need help and makes you look like a foolish right wing nut case.

Wanker,

I think it was Jesus who said, "Don't let any of them poor, homeless, hungry or sick get any of your money as they are already getting everything paid by the government. Do you think Jesus was a Republican?

Did I say 47% of the people were taking advantage of it, no I didn't, you assumed that. Yes many of these programs are needed but are being abused. Also its more than just here or there. I simply said these are subsidies that are out there, and no Obama didn't create this, although it does seem to be abused a bit more than before.
As far as propaganda goes it was this administration that repealed the Smith -Mundt act of 1943 and is now legal to spend tax payer dollars on they're propaganda agendas.
Why do you suppose they would do a thing like that? Is that where our tax dollars should be going? And to slip it in under the defence budget, shameful. The scariest this is what the republicans will do w/ this kind of power when they get back in and they will. Good luck

I try not to get engaged in blasfimus comments but I would say he wouldn't charge a $ 5000 deductable to heal the sick, I do find it funny how you libs like to poke fun at Christianity but will support Islam. Last I checked the Christians weren't cutting peoples heads off and suppressing woman's rights. Just another contradiction from the left I guess. Don't worry its not the first.
