Active duty military members are not suppose to engage in any kind of politics, actual or perceived. LTC Vindman knew exactly what he was doing when he misrepresented what he thought the President was saying.

In the military, if you have a concern, you arrange a meeting with your military boss and air your grievance, and if you feel your angst is not handled properly, there is a chain of command and an inspector general that can be utilized.

Vindman did not follow the chain of command when he reported his concerns about Trump’s July 25 call with Zelensky to lawyers at the NSC instead of Morrison, his direct supervisor.

Vindman did not testify t***hfully. He claimed that Trump "demanded" investigations from Zelenskiy in return for military aid. But that was not true. It was only Vindman's opinion, not fact. He eventually admitted that the actual words spoken during the call did not support his bogus claim.

He was called before Congress to testify; he was NOT dabbling in politics. He “misrepresented” nothing. He reported what he heard. These days spineless Republicans back up Trump’s lies.
