As a westerner I believe in States Rights. I don’t think the President of the US has any control over a local Police Dept. That belong to the mayor or in the case of a Sheriff Dept the County Board of Supervisors. The Federal Government already has too much control over our lives. Time for the Constitution to be obeyed and the usurped powers by the Federal Government be returned to the States as granted in the Constitution. So no, the President is not and should never be in charge of a local Police Department.

Getting rid of bad cops is not getting rid of a police force, unless you think a police department is so rotten you need to start over and stomp on unions protecting bad cops.

They tried to pass a reform but the Dems wouldn't even look at it this reform was put together with many people from different areas of social justice black and white. Pelosi wants only her bill which is full of garbage that's unrealistic, to say the least. So as usual its not going any where
