Here's another one in Georgia. One shot, one k**l.

My question is: why did he open the door? I think the caption is wrong as it was the concealed carrier who was "looking to k**l" someone...

Regardless of the necessity, it is monstrously inhuman, IMO, to "feel good" about the a story of the violent termination of a human's life.

It occurs to me that this lack of respect for human life goes a long way to explain the excessive gun play. From the criminals, of course, but also from the "Defenders of the 2nd Amendment."

We have an entire industry dev**ed to creating realistic children's games for the purpose of wallowing in the experience of taking human lives with guns in violent scenarios. Should we wonder that, once grown, these same people consider no alternative to violence except more efficient, sneakier violence?

We will all die. No way around it. The fact that fervent fundamentalist Christians cling to their guns and Bibles is puzzling given their stated fervent belief that death opens the door to Heaven and eternal paradise. Shouldn't the bringer of death be the hero? If you really believe?

I have no desire to discuss this with you Singularity. By reading some of your past posts, I can tell where you are coming from.

If someone breakes into my home, they better be ready to meet their maker, because I'm armed and trained and practice regularly. Then there is just one less bad guy that we have to worry about. If he goes to jail, then when he gets out, he's going to do the same thing over and over again. I'm for stopping it in it's tracks and that will give the future crooks something to think about.

You have a very strange attitude. The feel good part is that you are still alive, not that you k**led someone. The world is filled with k**lers. Some are just evil, others are crazy. It's a shame for the mentally ill, but you as a victim do not get to choose the when and the where someone tries to injure or murder you.

When someone bigger and meaner than you is coming straight at you to do you harm it does not matter why. The only thing that matters is whether you have the means to stop them. People who live in rural areas think of a gun as a tool. A bear, a wolf, or a rabid dog may suddenly be in your face. In the city it is humans. If your rulers allow you to own that tool you and your family have a chance. If not you are dead.

Christians are not suicidal. Life is a gift to be protected.
