You're right we do have different Bibles. Mine clearly states that all people are God’s creation (Colossians 1:16), and that God loves the entire world (John 3:16), but only those who are born again are children of God (John 1:12; 11:52; Romans 8:16; 1 John 3:1-10).

In Scripture, the lost are never referred to as God’s children. Ephesians 2:3 tells us that before we were saved we were “by nature objects of wrath” (Ephesians 2:1-3). Romans 9:8 says that “it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.” Instead of being born as God’s children, we are born in sin, which separates us from God and aligns us with Satan as God’s enemy (James 4:4; 1 John 3:8). Jesus said, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me” (John 8:42). Then a few verses later in John 8:44, Jesus told the Pharisees that they “belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire.” The fact that those who are not saved are not children of God is also seen in 1 John 3:10: “This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.”

We become God’s children when we are saved because we are adopted into God’s family through our relationship with Jesus Christ (Galatians 4:5-6; Ephesians 1:5). This can be clearly seen in verses like Romans 8:14-17: “…because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a s***e again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Those who are saved are children “of God through faith in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26) because God has “predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will” (Ephesians 1:5).

All true. But we aren't the Judge of who is or isn't worthy to be called a Son of God. All angels are called the Sons of God, even Satan at one time, was called a Son of God, until he rebelled and was cast out. Satan was trying to steal God's glory with his "I will" statements.

Jesus lived and died, then rose again. Salvation is a free gift. We have until we die to accept or reject it. Then and only then is it too late and our fate is sealed. Even Pharoh could have changed until God hardened his heart. He even would have allowed Sodom and Gomorrah to survive until they messed with God's messengers.

God, Jesus, and the Spirit are one. Not three beings but one triune God. A man can be a son, husband, and dad. One being but three attributes. Only God can judge the angels and mankind because He created us all and nothing is hidden from Him. Only He knows the past, present, and future. We don't get to play God or compete with Him. All praise and glory belong to Him and He doesn't share it with anyone. Not you and not me, not anyone, and not Satan or his followers.

At least we debated it. Sadly, we didn't come to an agreement. But maybe others learned something from both of us. God didn't explain everything in the Bible, I wish He had, but that's His call. It's quite simple. If you are a TRUE believer in Jesus and what he did for you on the cross, you are a child of God. If you aren't, you are not a child of God. It's plainly stated in the Bible and the Bible is my authority.

Thank you! Kind of you to say that. Haven't checked on the dams today. I hope they are holding until people downriver get to better locations. China has some empty cities they built, maybe they can find shelter there? Winter will arrive too soon if you don't have shelter or income. Does China have any type of emergency relief or welfare system?

There is a welfare system, but it's different defense the US... Need to be disabled or somehow unable to work to take advantage of it...

Emergency relief is common for disasters... But often it's the charities that help the most...

People are awesome! If, allowed to be! Local charities are always the best option. If they get too big thieves start looking to skim off the cream. Stay safe brother! Stock up on extra food if you have space and the money. Take care of that family. Play that 'what if' game while you're young.
