The area was cleared out because the protesters were NOT peaceful, they WERE violating a lawful curfew, they WERE refusing a lawful order to disband. If tear gas should not be used to enforce lawful orders from the police, what do you suggest they use instead? Night sticks? Bullets? Hand grenades? Or are you of the opinion that law violators should be left to do wh**ever damage they feel like and, like a good progressive, just let them alone?
Trump doing a photo-op is neither wrong nor of any relevant. Every politician takes advantage of photo-ops, so why in the world is it important to you guys?

Not sure which incident you are referring to but there was one protest, i.e., r**t, where the news
people were reporting that they were using tear gas. It was very obviously NOT tear gas; it was
smoke. I KNOW tear gas; the Army used it on me in training.
