Why are right wingers so obsessed with public schools? The caption on this post finished with "good job , public schools" as if public schools had something to do with these protestors. There is nothing in this article that has anything to do with public schools. There is no such thing as an American School System anyway. We have a school system in Eastern Chittenden county, Vt. and a school system in Burlington, and I've heard that there are school systems in other countries like New York and even far away places like California, but there is little that unites them other than the availability of text books. There have been some Federal attempts to enforce rules on all of them, and these are violations of the 9th and 10th amendments. So what's with this "good job public schools" merde de vache?

Look in the mirror and see what the school has made, read your words, and see what the schools have made. Our government-run schools are the makers of Marxists and plan to destroy America.

I remember my history book. It was a large book about the size of a standard size bible and it was title “American History.” It began with the discovery of America, the colonization of America, the formation of the thirteen states the thirteen state f**g, the revolutionary war, the parts all our colonists played in the fight for freedom, the formation of the constitution and the bill of rights, the s***ery issues of the day, the division of the country secession of the south, the military leaders who were all educated at West Point who had to choose sides and fight against their classmates, the generals, most of whom lead the charge and died in battle who did not lead from a tent well behind battle lines. The battle of Fort McHenry and Francis Scott Key’s writing of the star spangled banner. Lincoln’s freedom of the s***es and the hatred of many southerners who wanted him removed from office, the carpetbaggers, the black regiments who fought for the union and southern armies, the emancipation proclamation, women’s suffrage and much much more.

I wish I had kept a copy of that book for my grand kids. I have no idea what they are being taught today but I doubt the new version covers American History in the same detail as it did then.
