2.
the atmospheric conditions and weather of an area.

WTF do you think we were talking about, you poster boy for dumbass? Try to keep up. You were exposing your ignorance about c*****e c****e, and carbon emissions. Meteorology is climate science. There is a little more to it than the pretty little girl on TV who tells you whether or not it will rain tomorrow. Being an engineer does not qualify you as an authority on climate science. Neither does being a left wing talk show host. Being a brainless pest, such as yourself, is certainly no guarantor of knowledge. You will have to do better, you are being a bore.

For a monkey brained i***t, you seem to forget that a engineer has a very good practical education and it's tougher than you apparently think. True sign of ignorance. Some of us follow and understand reports better than others because we have the brain power. You obviosly don't. Stupid monkey.
Talking down to your betters only means that you will be ignored. Pukea$$

Alicia,
China is making the solar panel, because they sell well in the US. It's about money, not climate, that they do this. They are trying to get the trade imbalance way out in their advantage...they are setting us up.

To the topic at hand, Can the US compete with China?

We are severely disadvantaged by the regulations imposed on businesses, and the highest business tax in the world. China has the distinct advantage of holding a huge amount of US Treasury bonds, should they have a massive sell off of these bonds all at once they can defeat us without a shot. They won't do that right now, as they have a trump card holding our debt. But, once the Renminbi becomes a Global Reserve Currency (which is where it is headed) they will dominate us on the world markets.

Right now one of the only things keeping the US Dollar holding on is that it is the currency of the commodities markets (mainly oil).
That's why we had to attack Iraq, Saddam was selling oil in Euros and had to be slapped back into place. Libya began selling their oil in gold, which is why Gadhafi had to go.

What's next?
Venezuela is now selling their oil in gold. What will be their fate? If we allow it, more countries will follow and the US dollar (aka Petrodollar) will begin to collapse under our huge debt.

But, our fall will be our own doing by amassing such a huge debt.
17 trillion in debt, add with 125 trillion in Unfunded liabilities equals 142 trillion as the REAL Debt. The right now liability per taxpayer is over a million dollars
(per tax payer). There is no economic model that shows us recovering from this. We have already gone over the fiscal cliff, it's smooth sailing until we hit the bottom.

Look across that bottom row...that is unsustainable.

TSTim,
Bucheney started the war to steal Iraq's oil. Saddam was boxed in. So,get over the BS. Don't even try to tell people that the. Hi see sent a big negotiating party to zIraq to negotiate currency. Bush 1,sealed off Hussein. They barely got in medical supplies for the little oil he snuck out. It's true that Saudi and Russia and China are talking currency now. It must might be because of the trade deals struck by Paulson,etc... To persuade China to loan the $$$ to pay for the bucheney extravaganzas. Now we are going to pay the piper. The important figures are that the repuglicanus'es spent it and now won't pay for it. ReaganBushDebt.org

It is only President Obama who is pushing alternate energy sources in this country. All the blind Repubs. are either ignorant or refusing to look at the reality of this situation. They insist there is no threat of c*****e c****e. Wonder why I have absolutely no confidence in this Repub. Congress? They are more interested in seeing President Obama fail than in the welfare of this once great nation.

I especially like their attitude of the U.S. and China being collaborators. It is Obama's EOs that will keep this country competitive. And please note the number of jobs available in this field. Obama's been stating this for a long time.

Who's showing brains now? Certainly not Congress!

Thanks. Am looking into your second recommendation What amazes me is that with all this knowledge available, man, in his greediness, doesn't heed warnings and respect the Earth. With all this knowledge, we only know about 10% of what goes on in the sea and how important a place it has in maintaining life (aside from food).

Native American legends - very similar in tribes that never could have met - states that the Earth has already been destroyed six or seven times. This attests to the longevity of man as, in all, legends, there is basis in t***h.

One thing the pagan beliefs have in their favor is "respect for Nature." I'm sure you've heard the say, "if a grain of sand moves, etc.). Man has been moving dunes but takes no responsibility for the wave-like effect this has on all of life on this planet.

Yes, well I'll believe Obama is the pristine environmental example when he quits golfing on fancy golf courses that waste more gallons of water than the average consumer in Michigan can afford to drink.

Now your even blaming President Obama for wasting water because he plays golf. Do you really think golf course owners will stop watering if our President decides not to play on their courses? When will you grow up?

I do not completely disagree with you, but I think many people fail to give credit to the huge amount of changes the American consumer has already made over the years in response to environmental concerns.

1) Recycling. Most consumers are on board, with pounds and pounds of garbage being recycled weekly that once was thrown away.
2) Forest Initiatives. Manufacturers that design and cut wood products, (such as doors or windows for example) follow a strict initiative program to save our forests by literally planting 2 trees for every 1 they cut down to manufacture their product.
3) Americans have bought energy efficient cars - thus leaving the Feds scrambling for lost gasoline tax revenue.
4) Many urban-community consumers spend hundreds on expensive emission-law requirements in many states.
5) Most consumers are replacing their old appliances with energy-star rated, energy efficient appliances. We can tell this by the EnergyStar labels plastered all over any appliance showroom.
6) Consumers have abandoned the once-popular gas-guzzling SUV for smaller vehicles.

There's more changes the consumer has made which are too numerous to mention here. But I cannot help but feel insulted when you state Obama is "the only one doing anything" about the environment.

What a slap in the face to the average consumer who are doing what they can.

I inferred that Obama is the only one doing anything "on the political scene." I am grateful that many people are working on this problem EXCEPT for those who need pick-ups with 8-cylinder engines (that can make more noise) and practically no beds. Is this not waste? That type of pick-up is the modern day Cadillac - a status symbol. What can one carry in 3 feet of bed space - a dog?

So do you. Since you neglected to provide any reason why this is your opinion, I don't need to provide any reason for mine, other than the self-evident, self-serving 3rd grade rubber and glue mentality behind your OPINION.

When will you realize your God-King is nowhere near as infallible as you think? Speaking of growing up, don't you think it's about time you stopped fantasizing about having his baby? It probably won't happen.

This is not a true statement, we are hundreds of years away from actually even damaging coral reefs much less the entire ocean Eco system. Please do not post crap. I will repost the studies done and what the PPM of current H2CO3 is and where it will be in 300 years at current increasing rates of CO2 dilution ratios. But honestly I get tired of doing so because I'm not going to change any c*****e c****ers minds.
