ISIS' beef with Mecca seems to be that Muslims have lost touch with the true meaning of their faith, according to the threat. In an "unverified tweet" in Arabic, which deciphered poorly, Mecca in Saudi Arabia was threatened with destruction. It is, of course, the holiest place in Islam.
People are going to Mecca to touch the stones, not for God, reads another tweet from the same account. I swear to God, if you conquer Saudi Arabia as we worship, none but Allah will demolish the Ka'ba.
The ISIS Islamists are blowing up and bulldozing all sorts of mosques, churches and shrines in Syria and Iraq. This is Islam, violence unending. How do you like it?
