One would think that a racoon would not need help against an opossum. They're mild little creatures and don't they eat ticks? Not really newsworthy and once they have one or two big things going, the news people of today don't look any further. All other news takes too much work to look into. We don't know even half of what's really going on in the world right now.

Possums only play dead so long. I grew up where they were plentiful. Their teeth are every bit as sharp & dangerous as raccoon’s. I raised nine I found still alive in their mother’s pouch after she had been hit by a car. Had to use a doll bottle to feed them every 4 hours. When that got about the size of a field mouse, they started biting me when I put their food in the cage, finally started using one of my father’s welding gloves.
When they doubled in size, I let them go in the woods. My grandfather had a pet raccoon that went just about everywhere he went, sometimes on the ground with the dogs or on his shoulder. I don’t doubt a raccoon could train a hog.

We do, Mike. Mostly we do. The media doesn't want us to think so, but we do.
