It's a Soldier . ...
it's a Soldier ,
not reporter Who has given us freedom of speech
It's a Soldier,
not a poet who has given us freedom of speech
It's a Soldier ,
not the the campus organizer
who has given us a freedom to demonstrate
It's a Soldier ,
not a lawyer who has given us right to a fair trial
It's a Soldier who serves under the F**g ,
who salutes a F**g,
whose coffin draped in the F**g,
who allow protester to burn the F**g
To all our Soldiers past and present , we Salute you!!!

I agree that we salute or military but disagree that soldiers gave us freedom of speech or defend our expectations to them. They are guaranteed by The Bill of Rights,.written by the Founding a Father's which was in part influenced by The Magna Carta. These rights are upheld by the Courts and enforced by local and federal law officers. These things sound rah rah but it's the Bill of Rights and the Constitution that guarantee these Rights. The Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the use of the military (soldiers) from engaging in domestic law enforcement activities unless pursuant to lawful authority. I can't recall any instances of the military defending our Rights.

But if it wasn't for soldiers back than, would we have Bill of Rights?

Let me suggest our countries salvation isn't going to be from some bunch of crooked pols in DC.
Might consider the fact the beef you buy wasn't raised and butchered in the supermarket cooler. Sorta look behind the scenes.
Point being, if the country isn't guarded 24/7 it will cease to exist. Who better to do it than the military?
