I look at Proverbs and I am like, "Duh! Of course." No wisdom there just basic common sense. Inspirational? No, boring.

Sorry, but I have found more useful insights in Peanuts and Pogo. It is a little scary to me that anyone might need to read such pablum of thought and think it exceptional. All solid, of course, but painfully obvious. Like me telling you to not place your hand in a fire or you will get burned. "Should your springs overflow in the streets...let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers." (Proverbs 5: 16) What? And it gets science wrong fairly often but we can take it, if generous, as poetic license. "Go to the ant...it has no commandeer, no overseer or ruler." (Proverbs 6:3) Wrong! Basic science; it does. No big deal. We cannot expect an ancient text to offer modern knowledge.

The Old Testament is a book of a Bronze People looking for answers, and God slowly trying to reveal himself to them. A lot of what they believed and said was not about the Father but themselves. Like a child in Sunday School. The Bible reveals their faulty ideas and mistakes as a way to seek the one, true God. The genocide of the Canaanites, for example, was for us to learn the folly and danger of tribal p***e and its justifications. Or maybe I am totally wrong.

Wow. Again mocking God's word and calling God a liar. You've done this MANY times. You claim you love Christ yet your words exude h**e for Him.

You don't understand elemental verses that is your problem. The ant doesn't need anyone to tell it to store up food. It simply does it. Without the Holy Spirit to guide you, you will remain lost. You need to be saved.

Repent and call on Christ before its too late. You once called arguably one of the greatest Christian apologists of our time "pedestrian". Your extreme hubris is your biggest obstacle to repentance.

Sad. This post totally refutes your quote by C.S. Lewis, sad.

The Bible is a children's story: only a child can read it. Be as a "little child" or stop bothering me with your without flavor dry and fruitless beliefs. Sorry, that is just how I see every response by you. No real life or joy in it; rigid and tired edicts. Though I do appreciate your needless attempts at my redemption.

In no way, but I understand why you think so. The "little child" is our true selves. That is the only place we can truly find the grace of the Holy spirit. Discernment: separating "bone from marrow," soul from God. The OT to me is our attempt to comprehend the incomprehensible: God through worldly eyes, instead of as "citizens of heaven." They knew not what they were doing. Misadventures, mistakes, wrong assumptions: these help us to stay on the path. No less God's Word. The "Little child" gives us the eyes to see that. The Bible is not literal; that is so absurd as to be insane. Pathological. It is an art of the heart and not a science of the mind.

You call the bible a children’s story but you don’t understand it. Sad. You claim to love Christ yet show him nothing but contempt.
