It's misspelled. It starts with a 'J'.

The first modern use of the term "woke" appears in the song "Master Teacher" from the album New Amerykah Part One (4th World War) (2008) by soul singer Erykah Badu. ... David Stovall said: "Erykah brought it alive in popular culture. She means not being placated, not being anesthetized."

Most common meaning: "alert to injustice in society, especially r****m"

To me it is a clearly "l*****t or socialist" term, announcing what they think is their clear "superiority" in a political sense! Like "our way or the highway" type of thinking! "We are more WOKE than Republicans or Trump followers", they are the "deplorable, trailer trash, etc!

Depends, non PC I woke up at 7 am.
PC, it's a made-up word for enlightened. Do we need another word? Why?
And like JW said it is a joke.

Well after all these years watching what people think, say and do, it’s obvious they are more complacent than I ever thought.

It will take a shock worse than the lockdown to really make them move...

I think the Fallout now from the Economic Catastrophe might do it... we’ll see in 30, 60, 90 days out.

WOKE is an acronym for, Way Out KKK (demorat) Enforcement. Maxine Waters wants her parties KKKers to start harassing conservatives.

To me it is another example of a failing school system where grammar is not being taught.
Parts of speech, tense, contractions, etc are left in the dust.
Nearest correct definition would be 'awakened'. Meaning no longer sleeping.
Actually there is no such word. Just modern BS.
