Life Is Good

I completed projects in Houston and Port Arthur this week and tomorrow I'll start pr********ns to take my crew to the valley for an extensive DOT project.

Me and the Angel spent an extra day in Houston yesterday so she could shop to her heart's content.

She loaded up the truck with all manner of merchandise and I stocked up on a few particulars myself.

We left Houston before sunup and made it home in good time.

I'm relaxing for a bit now and I've glanced at a few topics here on OPP.

All of the usual left handed blue nosed Goobers have chimed in with their various rants and crybaby complaints.

I couldn't help but to grin and thank God that I don't dwell in the dark with those poor dumb spooks.

I turned on the news and I see there's a bunch of self centered celebrities lined up to belt out the crap that they call entertainment for the memorial day celebration.

Well, I don't really need to hear that blather and I can show my appreciation of memorial day in my own privacy.

So I just made up my mind to ignore it all and head down to the creek later to catch me some bluegill for tomorrow's breakfast.

And since I can't find a damn thing to worry or complain about, I'll step back and let you folks hash it out.

Because today all I can say is, life is good.

Life is good, sir!!

I woke up to my lovely wife and went outside to see the biggest grasshopper invasion I've ever seen here. Little bitty ones at that. They ate her flowers, and covered the sidewalk.
Well, we went to Lowes, and purchased 4 quart bottles of Amdro Quick K**l, I sprayed the area, cooked ribeyes, and beef tenderloins on the grill, and life is good!
Not a bug to be found around here now!!

Howdy Mr. B.

Whenever I can grab a few, I use grasshoppers for bait.

Cast a kicking grasshopper onto to water surface and the bass go absolutely crazy.

And man just the mention of a well cooked ribeye drives me just as crazy as a bass on a grasshopper.

We had an Alfred Hitchcock style invasion of em, Mr. Counselor!! It was crazy! A few yesteday, and a gazillion today. None of em more than a quarter of an inch long.

And the steak was outstanding! Locally grown, aged beef.
Ede's Meats sells some outstanding products here in Amarillo! They are a little proud of them price wise, but, occasionally, it's worth it!
