If it’s true that the worst thing about dying is not knowing what happens next, then that gives the impression that you expect something to happen next. That means that you were aware of some supreme being that is in charge of at minimum the afterlife. The advantage Christians have over the rest of humanity is that they know exactly what happens next. And what happens next to a Christian, is one of two things.
Number one, if you die,your body goes in the earth and your spirit goes to God, because to be absent the body is to be present with the Lord. Then at the rapture your body will come out of the ground go through the t***sformation to the glorified state meet your spirit in the air with Jesus, receive your rewards, and then go to the marriage supper of the lamb in heaven with Jesus.
Number two, if you’re lucky enough to be alive at the rapture then you skip the sleeping part, the dead part, and go right to your glorified body meeting Jesus in the air for the Bema judgement, then on to heaven and the marriage supper of the Lamb.
No religion on earth has it right except for Christianity.

I am fairly conversant with all the theories of afterlife, but when we are dead the life goes on, nevertheless.
There are probates, inheritance fights and recriminations of the surviving "loved ones".
Governments are looking for anything of value that you, the stupid dead person, may have left legally unprotected, to grab it.
Not to mention a dead contributor to the OPP, ostensibly a political junkie, if he dies today, he will never find out about the e******n f***d that brought a wrong person to the White House. (Just kidding).
Ah, there is the matter of "soul" that you invoke as existing only post mortem.
