For my friends on the OPP... (and those who enjoy throwing a punch my way)

I'll be taking a brief sabbatical from our community... Hopefully around the ten day to two week period...

Briefly...
1. I have my thesis defense coming up on the 30th and, while prepared, am finding the fact that I must conduct it online intimidating... My Chinese is quite good, but I have some trouble with poor quality microphones and the fact that I can't include body language...

2. I'm experiencing some difficulties with the new tax registration, that requires me to personally visit the tax bureau... I have limited time during the week where I'm not working, and it is likely that multiple visits will be required due to restrictions on individuals allowed within the bureau and the non booking policy

3. I'm currently involved with a legal case involving the death of an expat and his company.. They are being fairly cooperative, but the red tape is driving me crazy... (the American embassy/consolate is being very supportive though... Far more so than anything I'd expect from the Canadian counterpart)...

I tend to worry when a member of the OPP goes missing... So this is just a heads up...
