I find that ten minutes of ice on back while lying down then one hour later ten minutes of heat. Alternating those during the day helps me when I hurt my back. Cheaper than going to Chiropractor but sometimes that is necessary too. Good luck and get well soon.

Thanks, I will tell him that. Right now he is putting on a pain relief creme with lidacane, which helps. Then he will lie on the bed with one CaneCorso on each side of him, and they will keep him warm. Nothing like 2 big dogs (135 pounds each) to keep him warm. The Corso puppy is too young, too small (maybe 65 pounds) and way too wiggly to use as a hot water bottle. The 2 old guys are getting on in years and I doubt that we will have them all that much longer. The Welsh Terrier and the Staffy Bull are much younger, but do have their therapy dog titles. Over the years of working with boys that have been abused we have found that dogs do half the work and having different dogs with different personalities helps. The Corsos have been great and worth their weight in gold. Some time ago, and a different Corso protected a young man from the SOB who had beaten him and raped him a number of times, but was the mothers "boy friend" so he was never reported. Actually he was her pimp but that's a long story. It was some time later when the boy, who was by then a grown man, found out that the SOB was k**led by another inmate in prison, payback for earlier abuse of the man who k**led him. Personally I would have given the prisoner who k**led the child molester release from prison and a place to stay while he got his life together, but that is just me.

The beer was made recently so is not yet ready, but the wine is in its prime so we will drink that instead. Can't remember how much California white zinfandel we made last time, but, along with the others it should work. We had actually started a lot so we could party. We used to have virtual parties on OPP but the couple of people who started the tradition are not posting any more.

My first husband and I made beer once, put to much sugar and blew the caps off! But that beer was potent!!!!

Yes, but since we have been married for 54 years, I really think we are one and the same. And she is going to kick me in the butt for that, she says she is the better half. She is probably right!!!!

Virtual parties sound interesting? How did that work?

Just people posting on a thread?

There are apps now that allow people to face time in groups... Hint hint

One of thelong time posters found a photo of a very fancy resort or house and said that the following weekend we were all invited (to pretend we were there, not to really go there) some people said they made exoctic food items, others "came with ice cream and fancy deserts" we came with several gallons of each of 4 beers, and so on, all pretend of course. We had a toad , a real toad, with photos if it with a hat on, and some with the toad with a wedding veil, and they got "married" at one of the resorts. I think that LindaJoy still has the drawings on the web side where our friend Diane posts her art work and David (one of "our boys") posts his, of the toad family and Archies goldfish and we all had a grand time. The best part has always been that adults, many of us senior citizens can still pretend as we did as children.

and at one resort Archies goldfish got married (unfortunately they got divorced a year later)

I love it... I'll ask Linda if she has to pictures

Hope I never stop pretending... I like the idea of riding a dinosaur.. Although since my daughter picked up on the concept I've been spending more time being the dinosaur

My friend Diane just did two painting of Yorkies for LindaJoy. She said he was going to post them too when she gets a chance. Personally I think being able to pretend , play and use your immagination keep people young for a longer time and gives them joy in their lives, as long as we do remember which is the world of the imagination and which is reality (more or less)

I think the pretend par, and the fact that most of us will never know the rest of the posters actually makes it more fun. I can imagine what the others look like and probably draw them in my mind as very different and more handsome or beautiful that any of us really are in real life.
