Ranger, you sound like so many Americans who still believe in Our Coutry. Faith and Fear are opposites but have the same definition. Faith is knowing that problems will work out. That is positive. Fear is knowing that thongs will work out poorly. That is negative.
This country, like all countries, have had problems. We were attacked on Pearl 11harbor Day. After WW 1 Japan and Germany prepared for WW11. Their countries built a gigantic war machine. Right after Pearl Harbor Americans, citizens and corpotations worked together and quickly set up great war machine.
Rosie, the Riviter manufactered ships, planes, ammunition and weapons. We all did our part. Kids collected silver from gum wrappers. Lucky Strike changed the color of their package. They advertised that "Lucky strike green has gone to war because it was needed for camouf**ge and vehicles. We switched from butter to using lard coloed with orange dye. It was called margarine. Jello was a rare treat.
Gasoline was rationed and there were c**pons. The average family had a A sticker which entitled then 30 gallons a month. People who held various stickers which were determined by the type of job you had. The higher your importance for the war effort. Other stickers were B, C. D, S,T, X, Y and Z.
Our country has survied other major problems. The Korean war, Viet Nam and Iranian problems were overcome. So were the Iracian wars.
We pulled together and America was great. Throughout recent decades newcomers have discombobulated this country. Congress has been infiltrated by people determined to undermine American ethics.
I may by old, but I, and many others, are determined to work with others to keep America as our forefathers dreamed it to be.
Ranger 7374, br Ranger, you sound like so many A... (show quote)

Therefore, if you are determined to work with others to keep America as our forefather dreamed it to be, then faith is required. Faith in divine providence. Faith in God, Faith in the fellowship of men. But faith, which is a lot of things is one thing. Faith without works is dead faith as St. Paul the Apostle once wrote in his epistles. The Apostles knew this fact and so did the founding fathers and so did great men of last century. What makes us so different from the past. We are products of the past. and we by the nature of life and endowed with the responsibility of making the future greater than our future was. Knowing this we know that certain things do not change, and certain things are required to make it possible to have a greater future. But these principles do not change, our understanding of them changes and we are required to, it is our duty, to teach the up and coming generation on how to be great like those of the greatest generation.

We all know how to do it, the question is Will we?
