Mother Jones? I wonder why so many of the comments after the article were written by liberals. No I don't really since I know what kind of people read good old Mother Jones. Those comments became nothing but why cutting the military was so important and how necessary it is that we stay out of Syria.

What a place!!!

Since Thursday I have become one of many casualties of the Sequestration in the form of having my unemployment benefits reduced. I supported a family of 3 on just over 9 thousand last year and now this is just too much. I have been writing for months directly to the GOP National Committee and today three times. I also just wrote to the Oregon representatives asking them to please do what they can to stop the cuts that even the Washington Post states were never ever intended to become reality by our founding fathers. I thank my God daily that I live in a country where I can at least voice my beliefs in a professional way. Just about everyone I know is out of work here. We are all college educated with years of experience whose companies went bankrupt. I have informed the GOP that I shall never ever v**e for any Republican candidate for the rest of my life. It has taken over half a century for me to make such a statement. In my opinion, my generation don't have enough natural life left to see all 80 percent of the ignorant, uninformed, out of touch with reality eventually die of old age. Hopefully my kids will see more common sense. I never thought I would live to see our elected officials behave so petulantly and juvenile in their stubbornness. I guess they really believe some miracle will occur and change the thoughts of all Americans. And they are scared, I conduct polls and believe me the GOP is lost. They are proposing absurd public persons in a pathetic attempt to gain relevance. Well, I know this, a week before the 2012 e******n over half the people claiming to be v****g for the GOP candidate stated they had no idea who Paul Ryan was, never heard of him was what I heard. Wow. I made a pretty funny joke about the news bit that stated 80% of N.Y. graduates could not read. Professionalism prevents me from revealing the punch line.

And I am not scared. I am a political science graduate and I do not hide. This is America and no one shall easily stop me from exercising my Constitutional rights. I am a taxpaying, educated American v**er. I speak my t***h proudly. And if I am misinformed, I woman up and admit and apologize. But on the up side, every time the Republicans make some embarrassing mis-statement, I know I will have at least a weeks work with their polls, of which many are so poorly written as to be borderline literate. I guess their poll writers did not bother to learn in school. Because at their age, they, like myself got an excellent public education. Those days are gone. An uneducated, unthinking public is easily manipulated by fear. I forget who said that originally. I would like to give credit to the person who said it. Our only hope is to make changes from within. History has proven violent demonstrations don't really matter. Who cares if some groups destroy their private property or neighborhoods. Not me. My hood is not like that and neither is anyone I know.

Is this reply to me or the instigator? If it is to me let me ask you why Republicans are to blame for your cut in unemployment. Did one or more of them decide that they could make their party look bad by letting sequestration go into effect? If so, when did Barack Obama become a Republican? He did suggest sequestration, you know. He also decided to allow it to go and it is pretty obvious to me as a reformed Democrat of over 40 years that it is people like he wanted on the unemployment roles. Oh yeah, your kind will make all kinds of noise without really saying why you are making it.

I again repeat, I am thankful that I live in America. I am a professional and there is no reply to rhetoric. I only engage in meaningful, thoughtful, respectful comments.

Do us all a favor and press on the quote button when replying to one person. That way we can see who you are writing to. It is much appreciated by people here.

So you think that my talk is all rhetoric and yours is so meaningful because it came from a liberal. I guess that is your right. You know like free speech right.

Good morning sports fans. How about inflation that we are told does not exist? How about the devaluation of the U.S. dollar? How about the dollar could very well cease to be the world's currency reserve? How about the endless printing of $$? How about oil is priced in U.S. dollars but now, since Obama, 8 countries can now purchase oil with their own currency? I could go on but you get my point. We consume more than we produce. The guy in the Oval office wants to tax a select group of people and redistribute that money to another select group of people. Have any of you heard of Capital Flight? Think back to Britain 1975, Germany, 1920. It is going to happen here.
Sooner than anybody will tell us. Don't know if this helped at all. Just an old grunt rambling.

Say you, "...in the form of having my unemployment benefits reduced." This of course is after 9 months of collecting benefits that were initially designed for 6 months.
.
Why don't you get a cardboard sign that says, " Please help after 9 months the Gov't cut my unemployment benefits. I still get a lesser amount and have no desire to work. Any amount will do"

Then go stand with the meth addicts on a street corner, holding the sign up. I am quite sure all the progressive liberals that drive by will donate

Not to be disrespectful but I think that was a little over the top. Not sure he deserved that caustic response.

I am not so sure that she didn't deserve that reply. I say this because she said that as a major in political life she works on polls, now and then, but refuses to do it with Republicans. Of course, it does sound like she believes as she does could easily be all that good unemployment money that had to be cut because of sequester. I am not thrilled to have someone with her attitude making all that noise about losing some of her unemployment money when it is so obvious that it was cut to get people like her to make loud noises about sequestration as if it weren't the idea of Obama, in the first place.

Yep, she did take advantage of that right but I think the poster who answered her also has the same right. Right?

Did you really defend that right for people all those years? Why hell yes you did and should be proud of it. Have you seen anything about that group called MFRR working with some in the Pentagon to take away the religious rights of our military people?
Try this little thing to see the man who runs the MFRR at work.
