The dawning of the light in red states coming in about five weeks or so is going to be incredibly interesting, the moment when ignorant people like the Italians, who also downplayed the seriousness of locking it down, pull their heads out and say oh crap, we are k*****g off our old people in rural america, these are real murikans dying because of our leadership.

New york went from 300 cases to over a hundred thousand in roughly two weeks. Louisiana had 2300 new cases in one day and that is nowhere near to slowing down in ever increasing numbers, Florida, which is by the way very important to trump being reelected is about to lose an e******n altering base of older republicans, and the ones who live will be waking up.

I care about my fellow americans enough that I would rather have seen them led by a president who took this more seriously than Italy did when he had the chance to convince his base as well.

This war against a v***s has been politicized and unknowingly turned into a weapon that is going to do far more harm to the right in multiple ways. Trump is going to be suffering the brunt of the blame for over two months of incompetence and a failure to heed the warnings coming at him from all around.

Every time we have a major event in which lives are lost on a large scale and a massive wave of uncertainty, doubt, and fear descends upon us, many people need a full explanation of all the details in how, when, where, who and why it happened. It is the need to find order in a confusing world. A full explanation softens uncertainty, relieves doubts, and assuages fear. And, these folks need someone to blame, whether it be one person, a group of people, or an entire nation. A complete explanation allows them to return to their comfort zones.

The absence of a full explanation is fertile soil from which conspiracy theories grow. The c****av***s p******c is one such event. Moreover, the politicization of an event such as this exponentially exacerbates the problem, it brings in a massive load of tangential and/or ineffective ideas for an explanation that defy common sense and sets up a stage upon which alleged guilty parties must show themselves. The notion that choosing someone who could not possibly be responsible and punishing him or her will eliminate the problem is beyond stupid.

By definition, conspiracy theories are false beliefs. But people who believe in them have a vested interest in maintaining them. First, they’ve put some effort into understanding the conspiracy theory explanation for the event, whether by reading books, going to web sites, or watching TV programs that support their beliefs. Uncertainty is an unpleasant state, and conspiracy theories provide a sense of understanding and certainty that is comforting.

This p******c is not a local or regional event, it is global, the entire world is dealing with it. Apart from all the scientists, medical and health professionals working desperately to beat this thing, there are millions of frightened, clueless people out there demanding a full explanation AND SOMEONE TO BLAME.

Now, conspiracy theories are swarming like a plague of locusts, none of which are attempting to find a solution to the problem, to seek a v*****e or create an immunity that will save lives. Nope, they want an explanation of how, when, where, why it happened and who or what they can blame for it. Everything about it except the solution must be wrapped in a tidy package.

Here's a newsflash. This p******c is so complex and confusing that hell will freeze before anyone knows the full scope and underlying facts behind it. We may never know. All we know at this point is the Chinese government unleashed this v***s upon the world, so point the finger at them for wh**ever good that will do, but stop trying to blame anyone who could not have prevented it under any circumstance. We need a solution, not a fall guy.
