Let’s look at a short history of his statements from mid-January through mid-March. During that time there was plenty of information available to him. The US government knew. The US intelligence services knew. The CDC knew. Trump knew. He sent aid to China – some of the very things the US is now short of. Certain Republican congressmen were listening to the briefings and selling shares in anticipation of the coming disaster. They knew. He knew. The world knew. Other countries knew and were responding. And while he knew and was repeatedly warned about the issues, he chose to do nothing.

These are quotes. They are on the record. And he doesn’t get to pretend it never happened. Americans are dying because of his choices.

January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

This doesn’t cover the lies, mis- and dis- information that he has spread at his “briefings” since then. Fact check them. It’s horrific. Any other president in the last 100 years would ask the experts and act on their advice. Not Donald Trump. People are dying because of what he has done and said. And it’s not stopping. Yesterday he suggested that the shortages were due to nurses and doctors were stealing masks, gloves and supplies. He’s had people follow his “hunches” on treatments and die. He’s claimed there are no shortages while competing with state governments at auction. He’s touted his “numbers” as entertainment figures at the briefings while people are dying. He suggested it would all be over by Easter – thankfully the scientists prevailed. He’s lying. And Americans are dying. Even the Murdoch media is starting to worry about begin sued for repeating his lies in January and February.

He didn’t start the v***s but many, many Americans are going to die because of his choices. The rest of the world is using America and Italy as examples of how NOT to respond. In future years, when the history of the Trump P******c of 2020 is written, that history will not look kindly on Donald Trump.
