Check out this article. I'm not a Doomer but if you have to be pro active....I love this-

Do you know what a pinch clamp is? Do you know which parts of the ventilator are filters and which are chambers? Do you know how to insert the leads? Are you able to apply the patient airway apparatus?

Knowing how to use a ventilator could mean the difference between a risk management case manager giving you the ventilator, and giving it to someone else. If the box was standing in your home, could you set it up? if it was life or death to your spouse or child?***

Maybe it will be up to us to know how to set up a ventilator.

In NYC they had to leave a guy in cardiac arrest to get to the other 20 patients.

Maybe we all need to know a little more...

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

The idea behind a ventilator is really very simple - but the proper use is a VERY complex issue. That's why a doctor ultimately manages ventilators.
