State governments certify hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities within their state, they regulate them, approve expansion of them, authorize upgrades in medical equipment and supplies. State governments license physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals. This is not the responsibility of the federal government.

It is telling that the hardest hit states - New York, California, Washington, New Jersey - are all run by democrats. With over half the cases of C****-**, NY is the epicenter of this p******c.

Due to prior v***l outbreaks such as the flu and Ebola, governor Cuomo was told that NY needed to beef up the state's defense. He rejected the proposal.

New York, New Jersey, California, are places where most foreign planes land. It has nothing to do with the politics

The republicans need to add an element of racial h**e, discrimination and scapegoating to their response to anything. This is red meat to trumps ignorant base and it is their lifeblood. Without this Trump is exposed for the bumbling clown he is even to his sloven worshipers.

Is that more of a self-description.
H**e seems the only road traveled for you.

Why does this Kevyn person want to hurt herself with thinking about how to h**e Trump? Is this her cause? I feel sorry for her? Oops! Maybe being a "Trump basher" gets her the attention she wants.

From what I have read if you contracted the v***s on Monday by Wed you would be contagious and it could be 14 days before you have symptoms.
That leaves you 11 days to spread the v***s to friends family fellow workers and general public!
This is why testing is so important we need to find these people and isolate them as soon as posibul.
Think about how many people who you would normally contact over a period of 11 days its scary.
Keep safe

Do you get a news paper? Do you receive mail on a daily basics? Do you use paper money for purchases? Do you go through a drive thru Micky D? If you do any of these and many more things you are subject to getting sick. Take precautions, yes, worry about it, no.

I pray you and yours stay healthy and live long. Mike

I think we might be beyond testing to find the millions of carriers. Which is why I now agree with a forced 21 day lockdown. China has had a lockdown for months.
I agree that there are troubling logistics , but most could get worked out.
Anyone buying groceries must wear a mask, gloves and not unpack groceries for 48 hours unless they have sanitizer to clean and wipe each item.
Must wear gloves and mask to pump gas and any cash exchange sanitized.
Give this a chance to die out and those with the v***s and no symptoms to move beyond the contagious period.

Jack, if there is a lockdown, where are the groceries, gloves etc. going to come from? Mike

I was making a statement of awareness to opp readers.
There are mask available on line, gloves.
It would be responsible of Walmart's, our government in the short term as suppliers increase to offer at grocery store entrances for those not having supplies.

48 hours?

Wear a mask and gloves and wipe them down when they come...

That's what we've been doing...

Wipe each other down when you return from an outing, could be some fun in that.

Incubation period for 95% of the people who have tested positive is between 3 and 7 days so those walking around infecting people for 2 weeks are very few. The logistics of testing all 330 million people are such that it would take several weeks to do, even if we had an unlimited number of tests and would tie up our health care system to the point little else would be able to be done. During that time, a large number of people who initially test negative will become infected by those not yet tested and would have to be tested again and again and again, leading to perpetual testing. For that reason and others, every epidemiologist and public health expert has stated that attempting to test every person in the US would be an impossible, impractical waste of precious resources and SHOULD NOT be done. Why many like yourself who are not experts keep at the mantra that everyone needs to be tested is puzzling. While universal testing may work in a small country like Monaco (pop. 40,000) or even in a country like Denmark (pop. 5,000,000), it certainly will not work here, so get off the soapbox.
