I suspect this may be because of the unprecedented rush by people who have never owned guns to get one. And, this is overwhelming the NICS background check system.

Gun Control proponents are now trying to buy Guns & ammo anticipating "The Sh* Hitting the Fan"

FBI: 300% spike in gun buy checks, huge backlogs, shutdown threatened

On that one narrow point, and strictly in regards to containing and ending the Kung Flu, he may have a point. But you can bet after this is over that they will be buying guns to protect themselves from people like him.

I still am not ready to arm myself, and someday that might be to late, but if I do, I won't go through any government approval regulations. They are the reason I would arm myself.

Meanwhile I urge anyone on the right to seriously consider arming yourself or add to your arms. That day you need it might still be just over the horizon.

That very well could be. The newbies should take a course, just as a teenagers have to before getting a hunting license.

I got my first 22 at nine years old and was thoroughly instructed on safe and proper handling of my rifle.

I needed a weapon twice in my life, and was glad for it.

IMHO: One thing about an EYVC (E******n Year V***s Crisis), it shows what people can expect if they elect someone like Occasional Cortex, Bernie, or Sleepy Joe. Empty shelves and Marshal Law. The grocery stores look about like the stores in East Berlin back in the sixties, but, what do you know -- East Berlin is still there.

An EYVC sells toilet paper like Obama sold guns. Haven't noticed a real rush on buying guns in my area yet, so maybe most of my friends and neighbors have enough of them already! I don't know what the attraction is for the rush on toilet paper, maybe people are expecting SHTF or something. If enough Progressives buy guns, no more than they appear to know about guns, they will likely end up shooting themselves and flooding the hospitals with self-inflicted wounds.

So far, this EYVC hasn't bothered me much since I have been preparing for a liberal attack for nine or ten years. Bio-terrorism is what I've been expecting rather than nukes and all that conventional stuff, since it is so much more efficient; k*****g people and not destroying the infrastructure. It fits right in with the Agenda 21 goals for reducing world population, along with wars in general. At my age, I'm not going to worry about it very much, other than to defend myself, my property, and my family if it comes to that.

Just another tin star political sheriff trying to show how powerful and tough he "thinks" he is.

New to the position, and very insecure dumbass shouting, "Look at me!"

Barney Fife in a big city.

The use, handling, shooting, maintenance, safety, responsibilities and liabilities of gun ownership cannot be learned by taking a course. I've encountered people at shooting ranges who should never have had their hands on a firearm. And, this explosion in gun sales to people who have never owned a gun in their lives has the potential of getting a lot of people injured or k**led.

There are many excellent firearm instruction courses available and one thing the instructors stress is to continue developing sk**ls with a gun long after the trainees complete the course. Question is, how many of these newbies will actually take a basic firearms course? How many who do take a course will continue to train themselves at shooting ranges?

Here in Lapine we're a hunting and fishing community.

Most are very familiar with their weapons.
