I certainly never cheered when the towers fell. Like others that came from NYC, I was grieved and was angered by this treacherous attack. It may interest you to know that radicle Islam h**es c*******m even more than democracy, because it is atheist. C*******m is dead. It just didn't work. Democratic socialism of the Bernie variety is not the kind of Marxist ideology as the Soviet or Chinese variety. Democratic socialism , which is the kind of socialism they have in Europe is democratic. They leave power when defeated in e******ns. They do not believe in violent revolution, and are against authoritarianism. Personally, I'm not a fan of this type of socialism, or any other kind. I remember a joke about socialism, when Israel was a socialist country. How do you make a small fortune in Israel? Go there with a large fortune. The old style Marxists considered democratic socialism as treason to the working class.

AS I explained, C*******m and liberalism have nothing in common. C*******m is a revolutionary movement, liberalism is a reform movement. C*******m seeks an end to free enterprise, liberalism embraces free enterprise. C*******m started out as the movement of working people, liberalism actually started out an the ideology of the " new " factory owning class of the industrial revolution. C*******m is a one party system, liberalism encourages a multi party system, C*******m doesn't recognize individual liberty, liberalism is built upon individual liberty, C*******m is authoritarian, liberalism is democratic.
Conservatism is the ideology of the status quo. It started out as the ideology of the aristocracy of old Europe, It believes in no or very slow change in society, whether that society is c*******m as it existed in the Soviet Union, or government by a landed aristocracy or even a constitutional republic. C*******m is dead. It failed miserably. Even those countries that still call themselves c*******t, now have much in common with capitalism. Its just an excuse to keep the people that make up the party to keep power.

So dusting off C*******m and calling it liberalism will make the elite leaders of the politburo respect the will of the majority and distribute goods and services as they see fit. Two classes; ruling and proletariat. And everyone is happy wearing the same uniform and eating from the same trough and adoring only the rulers. Same game, different name.
