Years ago I caddied for Buddy Hackett. He was playing with Jacky Gleason for a hundred dollars a stroke. If he got Gleason laughing Gleason could not play well. They were on the 15th hole and Gleason was ahead by 5 strokes. Just before Hackett teed off he told me to watch the ball. Hackett was crosseyed and it took me several rounds before I was able to know where he was looking.
The ball went into the woods. I found the ball and he told me to let Gleason wait. Shortly later Gleason yelled come on Hackett take your penalty and play.
After a couple of minutes Hackett stripped down to pokadot shorts and ran on to the fairway yelling "LOCUSTS."
Gleason kept laughing and Hackett won several hundred dollars.

Leno continued what Carson started. No politician was safe from their humor. They both hit Republicans and Democrats equally and never with ill will. I miss that. Today's late night hosts are mean spirited and totally biased against the right, while they give the left a free pass.
