About a month back there was a thread concerning a Korean movie that won an Oscar...

U made some rather disparaging comments concerning Korean movies and their film industry in general...

My wife just downloaded and forced me to watch said movie... (h**e losing bets)...

I take back what I said about all Korean movies featuring effeminate lady boys... The men in the movie were fine...

But the movie really sucked... Far worse than even I thought was possible...

Actually I'm happy my wife made me waste two hours of my life... I think it might have cured her of her love of Korean film...

So in summary... Not all Korean actors are pansyass wusses... All Korean movies suck...

Moral: Never trust the Oscars...

My youngest daughter used to make me take her to Korean movies. I found most to be pretty good, actually. Never saw any unmanly men either.

As for the Oscar's, they're a bunch of love themselves awards. I like the awards chosen by viewers. People's Choice, I think.

I saw a Korean action adventure movie and I liked it. Foreign flicks can be quite good. China produces some great costume epics. And Spain has Pedro Amodovar.
