The two sacraments of the Democrats religion of secular humanism are a******n and sexual perversion. No wonder they were upset.

Now you are being dishonest and offensive.

You may be annoyed at my honest responses but if you depart from reality, I will not follow.

Bon voyage. Or stay and chat. If you choose to continue to address me and my comments, I would appreciate it if you would bring your A game instead of this pitiful drivel.

I, personally, think all prayer is a stupid waste of one's private time and its performance in public should be simply ignored or if persistently pestiferous, ridiculed as bad performance art.

I did not lead with that argument as I would not expect it to be a winning point of logic against those who walk by faith, instead of reason, sometimes against specific reason, or even at some points in contravention of all known logic.

But one might expect the clear words of the recognized supervising deity to have some salutary effect upon the practice.

You have not shown where the clear commanding words of your savior are superceded by anything more than the public misbehaior of his zealots.

Try again. That was pitiful.

Your opening statement proves you are predisposed to reject anything with which you do not agree so further discussion is futile. When one like you has decided that something cannot be true he cannot be convinced.

Performance art, substituted as legislating, is confusing and tiresome on any side. And equally condemnable.

Greetings, LJ! How's the coffee in your neck of the woods this morning?

Good day to you Sing!! Always a pleasure to see you and yes, I agree....

It diminishes her credibility, argue the merits of the anti a******n law itself instead of grandstanding..

Enjoying a cup of coffee this moment while watching the snow slip from the roofs... A pleasant sight to behold..

I do hope you are well and so love your intellect!!! You always make me think~~β€οΈβœ¨πŸ‘πŸ»

That entire diatribe is non responsive ad hominem, dude!

Do you have an honest A game or are you just winging it on emotion?

One last try. Our discussion snagged on the question regarding whether or not and in what manner Jesus Christ reversed or retired the direct commandment to enter into your closet at home and shut the door before praying. As he specifically contrasted and opposed it to ostentatious public prayer in the presence of non-believers. I mean besides the record of disobedience by his followers.

My self esteem is shaky, dude. I cannot explore the argument with you and attempt to improve both our knowledge bases, if you also reject the injunction, " Be ye kind one to another."

If you object to my honest appraisal of your arguments so far as tactless or insulting, I shall agree to retract my claws, examine another response and proceed cordially. Unless it, too, is stupid. If so, I promise not to comment negatively, nor at all, but to simply ignore it.

A more fair or kinder hearted an audience is difficult to find on this forum.

What is called the Lord's Prayer begins with "Our Father" which denotes not just private personal prayer but corporate prayer. Their ae numerous examples in the Bible of the people being called to public prayer. There was nothing hypocritical or self righteous about the pastor's prayer. He was asked to pray publically and did so. You just did not like the content of the prayer so you condemn it. If it was a prayer you liked you would not say one word.

There are two groups of people who demand that Christians and Jews hide in their homes to pray where no one can be offended by their prayers. One group is the Muslims who demand that Islam be the only religion that is public as, according to Muslims, all other religions are evil and those who believe them should be forcibly converted or murdered. The other group is made up of people who believe that the individual human being is the greatest power in the universe and that what each person believes is of equal value and valid for that person, therefore they need to follow no other rules. The later group is by far the more dangerous.

I am having grocery store economy brand hazelnut decaf. It is surprisingly tasty and comforting.

We are at or above flood stage in Nashville. I am observing a growing rivelet cutting through the drainage track behind my house. I know that water did not rise to threaten this house during the 100 year flood event in 2011, so I am not greatly concerned except for the comfort of the little creatures who live in that small wild patch.

Except the skunks. I hope they wake from hibernation and waddle off with their three kits to some other neighborhood and give my poor Mr Grey Kitty some rest! He h**es the tomato juice baths but can't seem to leave them alone. Thankfully his shots are up to date. Haven't seen them since the November cold snap ushered in the winter.

Oops. The half caf musta kicked in..... I'm rambling.....

You left out Jesus Christ, per his previously noted and non contramanded commandment.

Also my birth g****r is XX. That state continues unaltered. My pronouns are she, her.

And I can be convinced by or pleasantly intrigued to explore anything you and these other Jesus imitators might offer in the way of rational logical argument or factual empirical evidence.

I'm convinced by the weakness of your argumentation at this point that you are not correct in your assertion as well as by the fact of the additional emotional bluster followed by ad hominem and subsequent sulky withdrawal to indicate you are unable to support your claims by factual knowledge or rhetorical sk**l.

You have finally gone too far!! SNOW! A great heresy to us olde pharts who left northern Wyoming years ago to get away from -40Β° temps, 50 MPH Blizzard conditions. Burrrrrrr. Please refrain from using such vulgarity.

I am performing a controlled withdrawal from excessive caffeine. I lost my temper and screamed at a fellow human disguised as a Directv customer service representative over the phone yesterday. If they hang up on you you are sentenced to another 20 minute round robin of telephone AI answering bots specifically designed to prevent access to the humans speaking for the rapacious corporate structure. It was my 16th call. I suppose I'm avoiding having to reconnect and attempt to do business yet again today by dawdling and distraction. Working pretty damn well at the moment.

I have called every 5 days since discontinuing my service on Jan 1 to again request a return kit or ups label as specified by the contract for their cable boxes and remotes. I have injured my shoulder and along with everything else that renders me unable to drive at present. No problem they say. You should receive your box in 3-5 business days.....

Eight requests later, I still have no way to return this crap. Checked the website. The stuff is over 7 years old and no longer in use. Yet the email warns me yesterday that my account can still be charged a $180 non return fee....

You've found a sympathetic ear when discussing Direct TV. When hurricane Michael took our home in Panama City, Fl last year the unspeakable and tedious gyrations we went through first to cancel our service and then to return their equipment was, I presume, worse than a prejudicial IRS audit. Never again! I'm about convinced to ditch the TV.
