I think this nutball has never been on a farm. We also artificially inseminate other animals, including horses. A prize stallion's semen, artificially extracted can be worth millions.....for artificial insemination.

As for stealing her baby.......Cows are used to produce milk, and to be bred to create more cows that
will produce milk. How long does he think a calf should be left with it's mother?
On dairy farms, (I worked on one) bull calves aren't much good.....they don't produce milk, Phoenix. They are not kept around unless the farmer needs beef in the freezer. If his freezer is full the bull calf goes. By the way, sometimes "stealing her calf" can be touchy. I once went into the woods to check on a cow, she had dropped her calf.....I picked him up to carry him back to the barn and she was on my butt
every step of the way.
