In the past 28 years, teachers unions have given 96 percent of their funding to Democratic candidates. In the agenda from the National Education Association (NEA)’s most recent annual meeting, the business items include a commitment to:

Responding to the “heartless, r****t, and discriminatory zero-tolerance [immigration] policies of the Trump administration”
Supporting Black L***s M****r

Opposing arming teachers in schools

The removal of Confederate leaders from school monuments

Posting a public list of individuals who have refused service to L***Q people

The postponement of the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh

The prohibition of private jails

Opposing charter schools and voucher programs

Describing and deconstructing “the systemic proliferation of a W***e s*******y culture and its constituent elements of White privilege and institutional r****m”

I can’t tell which side your comments put you on, are you pro teacher?

It matters not what comes out of trumps mouth, he is a person that thinks his white/orange skin makes him better than people of color. If he wasn’t a r****t his golf clubs wouldn’t be full of i******s being paid a non living wage.

Are you saying black lives don’t matter?

Unless a teacher can put 80% of bullets in a bulls eye from 20’, while being harassed, they shouldn’t be armed!

The monuments coming down I have no problem with, they were erected by the losers, only to intimidate former s***es.

If you don’t have the strength of character to post a sign outside your place of bidness that lists the folks you won’t serve, the you obviously don’t think your bigotry is okay. I don’t have a problem with discrimination in private bidness, just have the balls to stand proudly and profess your beliefs.

Except that the man is a drunk, I have little issue with Kavanaughs behavior as a teen. I’ve know lots of drunks in my life, trust me, kavanaugh is a drunk!

Privately/corporate run jails is one of the reasons our justice system is so corrupt, as well as keeping me a criminal since 7/1/73. And that’s without the legal graft that gubment contracts are.

F’n a tweet tax dollars should not be used to pay for private schools. FYI, most charter schools are privately run, just more legal graft.

Maybe you haven’t/can’t see the institutional white privileged in this country, but having been in every position of private business, from dishwasher, to owner, I’ve seen lots of r****t discrimination. To the point of telling a salesperson the black folk next to me was next in line when the salesperson looked right past them.

If you can’t see the blatant bigotry all around you, then you are a r****t.
I’ve cut many people from my circle because they truly thought their white made them superior to those that aren’t!

You’re not in my circle, so no need to cut you from it;)

Please do tell me what about, and how my comments suggest I’m a r****t?

Question Vet, how can you support trump when he wants to use the military budget to build a wall that won’t accomplish its intent, while military families are living in unhealthy(mold) vermin and bug infested on base housing?
And of course trumps headaches suffered by soldiers caught in a bomb blast area comment?
And of course his calling out 40yr military officers as not knowing anything because they disagree with him?

trump has zero redeeming qualities!
He’s a narcissist that would sell out his children if it benefited him!

Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.

The lefties and alt-right are getting weirder every day. I don't try to justify or rationalize anything with them anymore. They aren't going to listen to reason and can't think for themselves. This whack-a-do only knows what his handlers tell him to think.

I’m no fan of The Party Of Stupid, but I’ll take them over the Party of Liars C***ts and Thieves any day.

The number one policy I’m concerned with is personal freedoms! The Living God of all Creation bestowed the Gift of Free Will on ALL of mankind. The Republican Party thinks it is within their purview to decide what is the proper way for me to live, and what’s okay for me to do.

It is because of the Republican Party that I have been a soon to be 47yr criminal.

FYI; beginning in 1992 I started v****g 3rd Party for president, and to send any and all incumbents to the unemployment office. In 16 I did v**e for Hillary, but only because trump needed to be stopped.

Once he’s gone his followers will see the damage he has done, domestically, and around the world. At least America won’t be able get other countries to join us in future wars, which then hopefully congress will start doing their job!!

Of course some teachers would put their students second, however, I’ve known and know enough teachers that spend their own money on supplies they think they need to teach their classes the way their students deserve.

I’m a boomer, my children didn’t enjoy near the experiences I did as a k-12 student. Many things, like certain field trips, sports, they only experienced because we paid for them.

It truly boggles my mind how many people truly don’t care about the world the children they bring into this one, will live in after they are gone. It’s something I didn’t expect, but doesn’t surprise me knowing my peers/boomers.

Teachers union must be eliminated. We the taxpayers are funding them.

In every state, there are different kinds of teachers union. Every year they demand to increase funding for teachers. The purpose is to raising their salaries and benefits. A certain percent of their monthly salaries have automatic deduction for the union dues. Majority of the dues go to increase salary of the labor union officials. And the balance go to funding the Democrat Campaign. There are 2.6 million teachers who fund the democrat party. This is a quid-pro-quo operation.

The taxpayers subsidize the budget. It demands increases every year. If not complied with, the the labor union strike. They pawn the students (kids) who lost days of studies because of the labor union strike. Unless funding for their demands are increased, they continue to strike.

We taxpayers are the enablers of these abuses. We must stop this. Sixty-five percent (65%) of our Property tax funds the Public Education. Our property tax go up every year. High property tax states are Washington State, California, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and those that are mostly covered under the democrat elected governors.

We taxpayers are the victims of these abuse. We must stop this.
Kids don't learn. And those dumb and lazy teachers could not be removed or replaced, because they are protected by their contract with the schools and the union.

I am flabbergasted at the amount of “the stupidity of ignorance of information” their is out there.
In 1974ish union participation in this country was in the 33% of workers range. Today union participation is in the 8% of workers range.

Back in 1960’s the middle class was made up of primarily single earner households.

If you chart the loss of union participation since the early 70’s you will find that it parallels the stagnation of wages, and loss of a vibrant middle class.

In the 1970’s auto workers in the St. Louis mo factories, we had one of each, earned about $27.50 hr wages and benefits. Today right to work in the south has created auto workers earning $22hr cash, and they pay for half their healthcare coverage.
50 F’n years and America’s auto workers aren’t earning substantially more today.

You really should know what you’re talking about before you run off at the mouth.

In the early 1970’s I was an anti union person, but now I’ve seen what happens when workers have no protections from unscrupulous owners, of which the employers I’ve had were right on the cusp on unscrupulous.

What’s up with the federal gubment meeting the shortfall in coal companies retirement plans because mine owners filed for bankruptcy before satisfying that obligation, then we’re released from that obligation by the mostly gop nominated judges.

Hey, your ignorance could not be denied. The subject matter here is about "Teachers Union". I was a State Auditor now retired. I had audited public schools for a number of years. I was talking about Public School Teachers. Their salaries come from taxpayers. Funded by taxpayers.

You've mixed up your topic of private industry labor union. I did not talk about that. Before you run your stupid mouth, you better make sure you are on the right topic. I am a Certified Public Accountant. You don't understand what that is so, I won't elaborate the matter. I don't waste my time with stupids.

You are talking about private industries and auto workers union, funded by sales of autos, and private business industries. I am also an accountant. And therefore I know what is going on with the auto industries financial matters, but not your labor union.

And now, I close this. You are NOT worth of my time. Get lost!

Why is it people think they always get to have the last word!
You don’t want to hear from me again, and think you can tell me to go away, and I will! But I will tell what will work, hold your finger, and just swallow wh**ever it is you want to berate me with, and then you won’t hear/read from me again.

Please do tell me how teachers don’t deserve to earn as much as they can, just like YOU!

Excuse the lesson on unions, and their benefit to their members. I’m guessing you’re angry because wh**ever bidness you are in you’re efforts to form a union have not come to fruition. Which of course is the fault of those employees that don’t understand. And or you work in a RTW State, which you probably v**ed for, and now, because you are one of those, “rather be ignorant and whine, than become knowledgeable and then be effect in your efforts.

Me thinks you doth protest too much..

Your comment on military call outs??? Really?? And how many did BO fire for nothing other than trying to weaken our military strength??? 🙄
Trump~~ mold issues??? This is long standing issue well before Trump took office... Many lawsuits over it with verdicts etc..

This is the largest known verdict related to alleged mold contamination in military housing. In 2016, a Marine family in Norfolk was awarded $350,000 in a mold-related lawsuit, also against a subsidiary of Lincoln Military Housing. There is at least one other case pending, against the Hunt Southern Group, alleging problems because of mold in housing at Keesler Air Force Base...

Measures are underway for changes too~ Following testimony by spouses on Capitol Hill, military leaders have been digging in to determine the extent of the problem, and have been working on measures to address immediate and systemic problems. House and Senate lawmakers have also included sweeping changes in their versions of the defense authorization bill to provide more government oversight of the privatized housing companies, and more advocacy and protections for the families. Lawmakers are negotiating on the final version of those changes....

https://www.militarytimes.com/pay-benefits/2019/09/10/jury-awards-marine-corps-family-more-than-2-million-for-mold-health-issues-in-privatized-housing/

Here's another for you~~
Perhaps you should consider knowing your facts before accusing Trump of an issue well known and which measures to address it are underway.. unfortunately when its the government its a long drawn out mess!

Do you understand you shoot your own credibility when you just look to blame Trump for everything??? How do you know what he knows or is doing about anything?? Ohhh wait, there is a way, by gosh all his accomplishments.. Son of a gun~~ Now there’s some proven tangible facts...want to talk about them??? No, of course you don’t... pppfftttt

Have s great day~~

The comments come after the Government Accountability Office released a report Tuesday stating that the Defense Department can’t properly monitor and track the condition of privatized housing because the data on the homes produced by 14 corporate housing partners is rife with data anomalies and inconsistent business practices in how the data are collected.

A Tuesday Senate Armed Services Committee hearing with military service secretaries, top brass and the GAO further revealed stacked odds against military families living in substandard living conditions. Senators heard about contract structures that impeded proper oversight of military housing, nondisclosure agreements with families as a condition of occupation — which kept them from reporting issues to DoD — and incentive fee structures set up in favor of companies.

The housing contractors will have an opportunity to tell their side of the story when the CEOs and presidents from Corvias Group, Hunt Companies, Lendlease Americas, Balfour Beatty and Lincoln Military Housing testify before the House Armed Services Committee on Thursday. The contractors admitted issues with the houses and pledged to fix them during a congressional hearing earlier this year. The hearing is considered an update to their ongoing work.
