I'll be there at the polls come rain or shine!!!

Got one up on you.
Two or more poll workers come to our dining room with our b****ts. We complete the b****t, poll worker seals in an envelope which we (the v**er) must sign and date.
V**ed last Tuesday for supreme court justice. Next date is the spring primary on 19 April. They will be back.
I will ride down the elevator and walk about 100 feet rain or shine and do my thing after consulting with the wife to see if we are merely offsetting each other by v****g for different people or if we are unified. Wouldn't miss it.
Happy to say we had a good turnout even for a primary.

I had the same problem in my job!!! Nobody asked my permission if I want to join Union or not!! It was mandatory!! I don't think it's right!!! I thought we live in America, not in C*******t Russia!!

In 1962 I was forced to pay union dues as a temporary factory worker. No union benefits, but I had to pay the dues.
Didn't sit well with me back then.

I never needed a union to get me a raise or any other so called 'bennies'. Typically the rest of my life was the same. If I got 'it' it was on my ability not because I was paying a briber.
I did have to join a union to work in a factory after leaving the Navy and again when I went to work at a utility. Promoted to supervision and was 'awarded' an honorable withdrawal. I paid in to a 'Death Fund'for years afterward.
Wife and I were discussing how she would be taken care of if/when I die. Decided to find out how to apply for the death benefit. Got the word from the Operating Engineers. "We don't do that anymore". The bucks I had paid into the Death Benefit fund had evaporated.

Speaking of Freedom. At 85 years, the only thing I 'had' to join in my life was a labor union. No thanks.

Another little freedom thing. The union was always right there to tell me for whom to v**e also.
My state passed the 'right to work law' about 50 years too late.

In my opinion, if a person does good work he is able to get a raise without a union.

Therefore unions are unnecessary.

My husband was good at what he did.
It didn't happen often, but when he asked for a raise and they balked, he'd tell them I'll leave and take my work with me.
Some young 23 manager laughed and didn't believe it.
He took his work with him and that hurts an oil company.
