21 State Attorneys General Sign Letter Asking The Senate to Reject Articles of Impeachment

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson organized a coalition of attorneys general who oppose the impeachment against President Trump.

21 attorneys general from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia signed a 14-page letter asking the U.S. Senate to reject the articles of impeachment against the president because they are “legally insufficient” and “factually flawed.”

Part of the letter reads:

“This impeachment proceeding threatens all future e******ns and establishes a dangerous historical precedent. That new precedent will erode the separation of powers shared by the executive and legislative branches by subjugating future Presidents to the whims of the majority opposition party in the House of Representatives,” the attorneys general wrote.

The letter continues, “Thus, our duty to current and future generations commands us to urge the Senate to not only reject the two articles of impeachment…as lacking in any plausible or reasonable evidentiary basis, but also as being fundamentally flawed as a matter of constitutional law.”

The letter cites a “partisan” nature of the impeachment proceedings, stating the Democrat-led House v**e to impeach President Trump negated the v**es of millions of American citizens and weaponized for politcal purposes a process “that should only be initiated in exceedingly rare circumstances and should never be used for partisan purposes.”

On page five, the letter notes the impeachment articles fail to omit material facts about former Vice President Joe Biden, and his son H****r B***n’s “unusually lucrative, multi-million dollar position on the Board of Directors of Ukrainian energy giant Burisma” and how their dealing in Ukraine raise questions about “possible violations of both U.S. and Ukrainian law.”

Seven of the Attorneys General held a press conference on Wednesday to explain why the impeachment against Trump is unfair, flawed, without evidence, and should never have been presented to the Senate.

I pray that the Senate does reject Articles of Impeachment!!!. It would be a total Dream come True!!!! for this country and it's people. TO!! Blazes with what the Democrats think and want. They just want to have their own way!!! and take total control over our Country and it's Laws.!!! What do Y'all think of this Post and what the 21 State Attorneys General are requesting? The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present.

That Articles of Impeachment should have been dismissed once presented by Pelosi to the Senate. But Senate Pres. McConnell did not have guts to stand on his position.

Instead the Senate allowed these long narrative of lies presented by Schitt, Nadler, and the 8 democrat jurors for 3 long days. Adam Schitt, demanded to add more witnesses and demanded documents from the president. These people are nuts. This trial will never end if they repeat the same process they did at the House basement under locked doors. Documents must be House responsibility to present their burden of proof. They are the party accusing. They could have done there while impeaching at the locked House basement.

Now the president's defense team is conducted at CNN. While all the CNN reporters and commentators have the liberty lying and big mouthing the president for several hours destroying the president's reputation to the American people. It is a political campaign.

In this parliamentary proceeding, the Constitution allow the Senate
disregard erosion of established institutional practices and norms. The current leadership of the Senate could choose to abrogate or repeal them once more end this impeachment h**x. The Articles of Impeachment do not have impeachable offense based on the the constitution.

Reasons to deny: The gross violations of the impeachment proceeding at the House, and the absence of the merits to impeach. Offense listed does not constitute impeachable crimes of Bribery, Treason, High crimes and Misdemeanor.
