The environmental destruction continues under this POTUS

(CNN)No one should want the United States to return to the days of free-flowing industrial pollution, of dead waterways and poisoned birds, when science and society didn't fully understand how large-scale environmental destruction happens and how to stop it.

Peter Groffman
And yet, that is essentially where the Trump administration is taking us with newly implemented rules that dismantle decades of environmental protections. The rules, which went into effect Thursday, will allow all sorts of pollutants to be dumped into our wetlands, seasonal streams, waterways that temporarily flow underground and t***sient streams that result from rain and snowfall.
These waterways ultimately feed into the larger bodies that provide much of our drinking water. Removing their protection creates a real and urgent danger to our health and environment.

Quote from your article: "However, the rule was also based on a review of 1,200 scientific studies that found that streams and wetlands were connected to waters downstream."

Amazing that 1200 scientific studies discovered water flows downstream. I wonder how much that cost?

Don't know exactly what the beef is here but I do recall hearing some of the total absurdities the Obama EPA implemented on wetlands that had farmers and ranchers raising the roof and the severe fines the weaponized EPA dealt them. There is also a river in California's bread basket that farmers had been using for generations to irrigate their crops. Remember? Obama's EPA shut access to irrigation down to give aid and comfort to an endangered minnow and literally destroyed farmers, food production, jobs and forced many into bankruptcy. This is because environuts have no balance and I'd bet the family jewels their hysteria over the presidents signing is but another example.

Hey you don't realize that these regulations were put in place with out clear thought. They had included a
mud hole and tire ruts. They had maneuvered a way to control every place that had a low spot .
Maybe they had given thought to this . It was very close to controlling all activity on open land.

They never look into the details padre. Just the stupid headlines. Waterways and reservoirs, especially locally should be under state jurisdiction. Don’t need the stupid feds all the time. Hell there’s examples of dried up streams, that have been dried up for years being declared wetlands.

So your not aware each state has its own regulations that are doubled by the federal government. Now its up to the state's to step up. Our founders never intended the federal government be involved in state clean water acts..have issues, take it up with your state government.

Trump, doing his campaign promises.

Just a moment here Padre...

Do you really mean to claim that all water, everywhere, is subject to the natural laws of gravity?

Without providing even one study to support your bigotry?

What if the water decides it doesn't want to flow downhill?

Or if it's not certain of its final destination?

Your bigotry is truly astounding...

I'm glad that somewhere, some kind l*****t was willing to pay for the 1,200 studies that showed "that" water behaving in a certain manner...

Sometimes you truly disappoint me with your alt-right bigotry and ignorance

Holy moly my friend, you've given me cause for deeper thoughts and introspection into my inner bigotry. Indeed! I must begin to suffer fools more gladly in my future assessments. You have thoroughly brought me down with shame. It is very painful but I thank you. 😭

If your narrow minded democrat leaders weren't focused on the h**x, they would have had the opportunity to oppose the new rules.

But no, they're too busy fighting a lost cause that's based on lies and innuendo.

Speaking of poisoned birds, how about birds cut to pieces by these big blades supposedly make the environment cleaner. If every other country in the world cleaned up as well as America has done, there would be no problem. This has nothing to do with anything Trump has done. You people are grasping at straws.

I'm finally beginning to understand why the Hippie movement caught on back in the 60s.
