Gosh, lets all act surprised. Now let's see if this will be enough to have him subpoenaed...

The only issue is why he did it, not that he might have done it.

It is well within the President's authority to make deals with foreign countries. There is more than enough evidence to suspect the Bidens of corruption. Trump has been saying for years that we need to do a better job of vetting where our money goes. If he did it because he suspects the Ukraine/Bidens of corruption, end of case. Nothing to see there.

==================

Quote}— President Trump told his national security adviser in August that he wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens, according to an unpublished manuscript by the former adviser, John R. Bolton."
----------------------
PeterS, it is exactly the president's power to control the financial aid of $391 million until full investigation of the prior history of Ukraine's and the Obama administration have been cleaned up. It was reported that fraud did exist during the 2016 and prior years under the Ukraine former officials and the Obama's representatives dealing with the Ukraine affairs.

Full investigation was essential, to ensuring those corrupt prior years activities are not repeated, and those who did prior years corruption must be brought to light.

Number 1. Before any aid is released to Ukraine, the president must fully investigate, to ensuring Ukraine's full compliance to the agreement and purpose of the aid. Then after they are clean, the president can release the money. President Trump did exactly the right protocol before aid was released. I must give him a grade of flying colors of AAA++. That is my rating for him. He knows how to handle business. That is the right thing to do Mr. president. You handled very well the money of the American taxpayers Mr. President. Bravo..!

And these dumb bells who don't know protocol in business management, and economics, they thought the president violated and must be impeached.

Number 2. The president has his executive rights and privileges to implement his policies in all state department and foreign affairs matters.

He is the president and when it comes to foreign policy, Congress could not encroach on the president's territory. The 3 branches of government must function independently. Congress has NO right to invade the president's territory, when it comes to foreign affairs.

Another AAA++ is the grade I give to president Trump. He is so smart.

Bolton has not written a book, but he has a draft of an unpublished manuscript which accuses the POTUS of linking aid to investigations. This manuscript that has been circulated in the House clearly state that all his overheard conversations happened in August....way after the decision to temporarily hold aid and after the infamous phone call. Bolton was ousted as national security adviser in September after a series of policy disputes with the president. Two months later, he inked a book deal. Can we spell disgruntled, bellyaching, petulant old man......

Peters and your thoughts about thoughts, or so says Bolton.

Lets say I am the CEO of company and have staff meeting to brain storm potential solutions to a rivals sales tactics that could cost my company and stock holders many dollars with no return on investment.

We check all proposed options and throw out the ones of questionable value or legality. I choose the best option and implement within required time frame.
So, you say that the thoughts about some proposed options are crimes.

That is wrong. One cannot be impeached for a thought.
What Bolton has alleged to say in his book is exactly that- a thought and not a crime.

Behavior or action, in this case is the only measure. Why? Because that is what the Constitution states. A crime has to be committed.

Don't mess with Old People.
This short story, in my opinion, is something every democrat should read and implement.
Perfect fit for this "impeachment" alleged by democrats.

AN OLD WOMAN WALKED UP AND TIED HER OLD MULE TO THE HITCHING POST.
AS SHE STOOD THERE, BRUSHING SOME OF THE DUST FROM HER FACE AND CLOTHES, A YOUNG GUNSLINGER STEPPED OUT OF THE SALOON WITH A GUN IN ONE HAND AND A BOTTLE OF WHISKEY IN THE OTHER. THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER LOOKED AT THE OLD WOMAN AND LAUGHED, "HEY OLD WOMAN, HAVE YOU EVER DANCED?"

THE OLD WOMAN LOOKED UP AT THE GUNSLINGER AND SAID, "NO,... I NEVER DID DANCE... NEVER REALLY WANTED TO."

A CROWD HAD GATHERED AS THE GUNSLINGER GRINNED AND SAID "WELL, YOU OLD BAG, YOU'RE GONNA DANCE NOW," AND STARTED SHOOTING AT THE OLD WOMAN'S FEET.

THE OLD WOMAN PROSPECTOR -- NOT WANTING TO GET HER TOE BLOWN OFF --STARTED HOPPING AROUND. EVERYBODY WAS LAUGHING. WHEN HIS LAST BULLET HAD BEEN FIRED, THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER, STILL LAUGHING, HOLSTERED HIS GUN AND TURNED AROUND TO GO BACK INTO THE SALOON.

THE OLD WOMAN TURNED TO HER PACK MULE, PULLED OUT A DOUBLE-BARRELED SHOTGUN, AND COCKED BOTH HAMMERS.
THE LOUD CLICKS CARRIED CLEARLY THROUGH THE DESERT AIR, AND THE CROWD STOPPED LAUGHING IMMEDIATELY.

THE YOUNG GUNSLINGER HEARD THE SOUNDS, TOO, AND HE TURNED AROUND VERY SLOWLY. THE SILENCE WAS ALMOST DEAFENING. THE CROWD WATCHED AS THE YOUNG GUNMAN STARED AT THE OLD WOMAN AND THE LARGE GAPING HOLES OF THOSE TWIN BARRELS.

THE BARRELS OF THE SHOTGUN NEVER WAVERED IN THE OLD WOMAN'S HANDS, AS SHE QUIETLY SAID, "SON, HAVE YOU EVER KISSED A MULE'S ASS?"

THE GUNSLINGER SWALLOWED HARD AND SAID, "NO M'AM... BUT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO.

THERE ARE FIVE LESSONS HERE FOR ALL OF US:

1 - Never be arrogant.
2 - Don't waste ammunition.
3 - Whiskey makes you think you're smarter than you are.
4 - Always make sure you know who has the power.
5 - Don't mess with old people; they didn't get old by being stupid.

The Shiffty gun is empty.

Spot On !

Ambassador Sondland testified that he called Trump and asked Trump what he wanted out of Ukraine and he said Trump told him I Want Nothing no Pro Quid Pro then Ambassador Sondland emailed other ambassadors that Trump was adamant he wanted nothing from Ukraine !

So we see here that Peter is just all the other progressive Trump h**er latching on to anything that want to hear even though it's a lie doesn't really matter just so it lines up with their agenda t***h be dammed

If you paid attention, he has held up aid to several countries where Biden wasn't involved. When he was assured that there were no corrupt intentions, he released the funds.

He has been harping on corruption since he declared for e******n and his opposition to foreign aid generally is no secret.

There is nothing unusual in the President's handling of the Ukraine case.
