Michelle Obama just suffered the most serious defeat of her life
Michelle Obama was one of the most controversial First Ladies in American history.
Now her legacy is in danger of being erased.
And now Michelle Obama just suffered the most serious defeat of her life.
Michelle Obama’s centerpiece policy initiative during her time as First Lady was a big government takeover of local school lunch menus.
Instead of letting local communities serve their children’s needs, Michelle Obama substituted the judgment of know-it-all bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.
Obama imposed a school lunch regime that provided kids smaller portions and foods that thrilled the taste buds of coastal liberal elites, but left growing children hungry.
Donald Trump ran in 2016 on a platform of returning control of education to parents and local governments since they best understood the challenges and needs of their students.
The President made good on this promise by announcing an end to Michelle Obama’s big government takeover of the school lunch program.
Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue declared that ending this big government scheme would give schools the flexibility to provide nutritious meals without interference from faceless Washington, D.C. bureaucrats.
“Schools and school districts continue to tell us that there is still too much food waste and that more common-sense flexibility is needed to provide students nutritious and appetizing meals. We listened and now we’re getting to work,” Perdue’s statement read.
Democrats fumed as the Trump administration made this announcement on Michelle Obama’s birthday.
Some critics argued the Trump administration was spiking the football with that decision.
Other critics falsely claimed this would allow schools to serve children an endless supply of pizza, cheeseburgers, and French fries.
Those were lies.
But Trump supporters were thrilled to see another ugly reminder of the disastrous Obama legacy wiped away.
The far lefts hatred of anything Trump is matched by the rights hatred for anything Obama /Clinton.

So what? You like some unelected bureaucrat telling your kid what they have to eat? You’re such a sheeple.

I had 3 of those lunches with my grandson.
It's a starvation diet and the Thanksgiving and Christmas meals were d********g, too.
I wanted to tear that place up when I saw the meager d********g unappealing and certainly not healthy food.
On grandparents day they served 3 little short battered weenies, mandarin oranges dumped from a can. They were room temperature.
Pork and beans dumped straight out of the can and room temperature. Carrot sticks that were dried out and turning white. Watered down milk and watered down ranch dressing.
Almost every mother said Michelle said it's healthy and they have to eat it.
So brainwashed.

I also attended a couple of these lunches with my grand daughter and the food was horrible. My grand daughter is still attending school but as a high school student she is allowed to bring her own lunch and praise be common core was thrown out of her school. But as a freshman in high school we are still going over multiplication flash cards and how to correctly do long division and of course unlearning the common core lunacy !!!!!!
