1985 27 below freezing and car breaks down.

That January was the coldest one on record in Knoxville history. I owned a real estate school and had taught 2 six hour classes. I left the class about 10:30. PM and had to drive about 45 miles to get home.
After ten minutes my car stopped running. I was sitting in the car for half an hour and was freezing. Finally a deputy stopped and we talked. He said he had worked for eleven hours and was going home. He said there was a farm house about a half mile away. I asked if he would drive me there. He sad no because he was tired. I got his name and he left.
I walked to the farm and they let me in. I warmed up and they gave me a hot meal. I callwd by best friend Hilliard and he drove me home. When I got home the furnace had stopped working. Another friend was a plumber who also installed furnaces. He came over and drained the water in the pipes. He and his workers were back by 5 AM and installed a new furnace by that afternoon.
That morning I had the car towed and I called frind annd we bought a 1995 Thunderbird that day.
That afternoon the Sheriff called and told me that the woman who owned the farm was his sister and he had fired the deputy.
God has overcome so many problems I have had. Thank you and bless everyone one who contributes here.

You bought a 1995 T-bird in 1985? Did the flux capictor work?

Typo maybe?

Thanks for showing me my mistake. It was a 1985, but we got it paid off by 1995. (My dumb sense of humor - actually we did pay it off before then.)

I don't know about the flux capacitor worked but the defense distributor in the 85 Tbird did. When the automatic window washer was firts out they were called defense disptributor by one auto company.
