For the past year plus, everything a muslim in congress says raises the ire of the usual OPP trumpcons, and brings for the threats and malice against them. And against virtually all muslims who reside in this country, and much blame is always directed at past administrations.

So now that a republican muslim is running for a seat currently held by Rep. Iihan Omar, is the fact that it is a republican make being a muslim OK?

Certain to be some credibility problems for some trumpcons if they suddenly come out in support for dalia al aqidi.

What's with the "ALL Muslims are evil" bulls**t?

Dalia al-Aqidi became an American who embraces our constitution, Omar became a citizen who embraces Sharia.
Dalia al-Aqidi is already working with people in Omar's district. Omar is working for Allah.
Dalia al-Aquidi speaks of Donald Trump as "my president". Omar wants him impeached.
Dalia al-Aquidi is a friend of Israel and Jews. Omar is a virulent anti-Semite. Wants Israel destroyed.

Aquidi for Congress Hell Yeah!

Dalia al-Aqidi, a former White House correspondent from Iraq, said she felt compelled to run against the Somali-born lawmaker, calling her a d******e figure who has neglected her Minneapolis district.

"She’s spreading hatred, and she is spreading r****m throughout not only her district, not only her state, but throughout the whole country, and this is very important,” al-Aqidi, 51, told The Post on Thursday after announcing her GOP run. “She’s hurting the moderate Muslims; Muslims like myself. She doesn’t represent me as a Muslim.”

One strength of her candidacy is that she couldn’t use her background as a Muslim woman refugee to the US as they share the same basic backstory.

Al-Aqidi and her family fled Iraq to escape Saddam Hussein’s regime when she was in her 20s and became US citizens in the early 1990s. Omar fled war-torn Somalia with her family at age 9.

Dalia al-Aqidi established a prestigious career as a political reporter, working for Voice of America and then as a White House correspondent for Middle Eastern television networks where she traveled around the world, covering conflicts in her native Iraq and neighboring Lebanon.

When asked about the fact she had only moved to Omar’s downtown Minneapolis congressional district months ago, al-Aqidi said she had spent every day talking to locals who were concerned the freshman lawmaker wasn’t representing them.

“I’ve done my homework for months and months before I decided to move here,” she said. “On Thanksgiving, I helped feed more than 250 homeless people in Minneapolis, which she doesn’t remember. She doesn’t even talk about homeless situation in Minneapolis, which is extremely cold and there are not enough places of shelters for them to sleep in.

“It’s a very, very important problem in Minneapolis, and it’s getting very cold.”

Al-Aqidi said she would also run on a campaign focused on curbing the gang violence on Minneapolis streets and bringing people together — countering the incendiary, anti-Semitic language which Omar has been criticized for.

“I’ve gone from refugee to journalist, from war zones to the White House. I’ve gone from a frightened girl to a determined fighter against oppression wherever I find it—sometimes, that’s closer than we think. In our own Congress, agents of anger and discord are tearing at America from within. Ilhan Omar and I may seem alike, both women, Muslims, and refugees, but we couldn’t be more different,” said al-Aqidi. “Omar has spent her entire time in Washington sowing seeds of division and actively supporting our enemies. When President Trump ended the reign of Qasem Soleimani, a vicious terrorist and thug, Omar rushed to his defense and attacked President Trump. She claims to speak for all Muslims, but she certainly does not speak for me.”

Newsflash, Pooty puppy, you are the last mofo on this planet worthy of judging the quality and character of our credibility. You have one hell of a job ahead of you if you ever intend to gain any.

.

Omar vs Aqidi

That's a lot of dumb in a very short post...

The majority of Muslims are fine individuals who hold mostly conservative beliefs...

This is but a sign that they are coming to recognize the t***h about the Democratic Party and identity politics...

The real question is "how long will the left continue to cry r****t/sexist/Islamophobic when the Republican Party has included minorities, women, and Muslims?"

I'm sure CNN or the like will shortly find a picture of al-Aqidi picking her nose, or standing in the express-lane with 12 items... some major human-rights offense.
I've been waiting since 9/11 for an Islamist to publicly stand up and shout "WE'RE NOT ALL TERRORISTS" .
Too much silence from the Muslim community
for18 years to convince me otherwise.
I'd like to think this woman would be a rallying point for them, and show us they truly are saluting OUR f**g. Time will tell.
Regarding things actually getting done ;
" I'd rather see you dance than hear you sing..."
She is, after all, a politician.

And, to be honest, I am not crazy about all the rest that say nothing when nembers of their clan commit horrible crimes against all people different from them. If all the muslims living in our country are, indeed, not of the same beliefs as the radical murderers, then why are they not speaking out against them and speaking up for this country?? Maybe we are too quick to give muslims as a whole credit they beither deserve nor are entitled to. Just wondering.

When you say 'conservative beliefs' do you mean 'conservative political beliefs, or 'conservative Christian beliefs', or 'conservative Muslim beliefs'?
