I think you're worried, as you should be, that if evidence is allowed, he'll be obviously found guilty of abuse of power.

You want to impeach a President over a phone call? Give me a freaking break!!!!! I can't even relate to how weak this is. The only thing this impeachment fiasco has produced is a top secret secure phone line from now on to foreign dignitaries with no one around. Or we'll have to do it like Obama to Putin's buddy and hope there are no "open mics". Remember Obama? "I'll have more flexibility after the e******n" to paraphrase.

What was she doing? Two more and she would have had a baseball team. I hope Trump grabs Collins, Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, Castor I think was his name, Trey Gowdy, Ratcliffe. For an unknown I thought Castor was great during the House interview of so-called witnesses.

In a fair trial both the prosecution and defense call witnesses who give testimony and are cross examined. McConnell is setting up a mockery at the bequest of the crooked Pumpkinfuhrer.

Fair for who? The obligation here is to be FAIR to the defendant!

The Senators should make their decision based on the articles of impeachment and the evidence the House Democrats used to pass them. It is not up to the Senate to help the House prove its case. The House must prove Trump guilty. It is not up to Trump or the Senate to prove him innocent. If the House cannot prove its case now without additional witnesses then it proves the impeachment was a farce. Of course, Democrats idea of fairness is that everything must be done their way.

Seriously, what would be the point of even holding a trial without witnesses? Trump and republicans keep crowing that democrats are being unfair, wouldn't allow republicans in the hearings (<a bald face lie), and on and on. Fact is, the current rules of impeachment were changed in 2014 by Republicans. If republicans are truly about fairness -they would not only call witnesses -they would demand Trump testify just like Clinton did.

But we already know republicans are not interested in fairness, honesty, or even the rule of law. Moscow Mitch has stated multiple times "I'm in lock step with the WH on impeachment" and "there's no need for witnesses" even though he and the republicans know that the very witnesses that should testify are those with first hand knowledge of Trump's crimes - Mulvaney, Mnuchin, Bolton and Pompeo.

Everyone knows that a truly 'innocent' man would not only have no problems with calling witnesses, a truly innocent man would "demand" that witnesses be called. We know why that's not going to happen now don't we?

In summary, this batch of complicit republicans are even more wrong than two left shoes.....and quite pathetic.

Shut up. Dems gave their opposition 48 hours to put a list together knowing full well they weren't going to honor it. maybe we should do the exact same thing. you support liars, scum bags, and the worst in DC. You gave us NO witnesses in Part 1. why shouldn't we RETURN the favor, Mr. Double Standard? You guys are so hypocritical.

Schiff nor the whistleblower work for Trump's administration and this is not a television show or a circus. Just want the facts please ma'am!! Vindman and Page have already testified.

I agree with you. The Democrats are using this new evidence as a ploy in order to get new witnesses to take the stand in order to entrap Republicans and influence impeachment and thus e******n results.
