But I h**e any limitations on free speech...

I agree, but don't want to see it tarnished like the NFL. I haven't watched that or any football in4 or 5 years maybe more. Dann, my black ops buddy looked up Kaepernic's girlfriend. She's a radical Islamist so by now (that was 5 years ago) he must be too.

The athletes are not employees, the IOC makes millions on their backs and extorts millions more from host cities. The Athletes need to resist this muzzling with every bit as much tenacity as they put into their performance. They spend a lifetime achieving these goals and when the spotlight is upon them they should use the moment as they please. Screw the IOC, power to the athletes!

No, that' kind of thinking got you into that rut. Work with the system and see what you can do from within.

They are the only game in town, a complete monopoly, they are owed nothing. They strictly operate to line their pockets, the Russians openly c***t and are awarded the games. The Chinese are a brutal dictatorship and are awarded the games. The IOC needs to be taken down a few notched and the athletes with a backbone are the ones to do it.

It's an honor to be in the Olympics. Don't like their rules don't play, that simple. Of course it means forfeiting $millions.

Yeah, we haven't heard much from him lately except that he was refused a contract.

Kapernick, bad boy?
Something else entirely.
Crybaby comes to mind.

I saw the kneeling and the cop as pigs socks but never any tears. Maybe I just missed it

No you have it backwards, the Olympic committee is honored by the athletes without them the Olympic Games wouldn’t exist. The event belongs to the athletes not the greed heads who exploit them. It is theirs and how they use the spotlight their performance affords them should be up to them.

Learn to read, Kevyn.

He said it's an honor to be in the Olympics - not the Olympic Committee. And it is. And, of course, without the Olympic Games - there wouldn't be olympic athletes.

Sometimes your 'dummy' is just monumental......

Kevy has already made it clear that he'd block the free speech of someone who has a belief which is different from his. He called it "propaganda." LOL!

It would be interesting if Islamic athletes decided to use the Olympics to protest Jewish beliefs/practices or homosexuality or a******n or g****r change. What if all the women athletes decided to protest men becoming "females" in order to compete against true female athletes instead of male athletes.

Would Kevy support those protests?

Not in a million years!!

It is both..

And I agree with you...

The athletes should be allowed to make statements... That Ard not disrespectful to the nations participating in the Olympics or their own Nation...

The only problem is, again, what one considers 'disrespectful.

By the IOC stating 'no statements' they solve the problem.......
