Uncharacteristically, I sent Bennie's Mom $25 off my old Discover Card for formula last week. (SNAP and WIC cut off after she started working.)

Didn't know that thing would still work!

Bet they still expect repayment in a somewhat timely manner. I might be too busy to smoke this next month, myself, worrying about how to manage that.

Wish I could mail you cigarettes... They start at $0.75 a pack over here...

I understand your frustration...

There are those who need the lift...

But I also agree with Wolf... Where is their community?

Indignantly discussing politics over cigars and brandy?

Singular, you make me cry. I am sorry, for your encounter with problems. Everybody has its own sad adventure. I have invested hard works and studies while young. But there is the most important one missing in me. I have no children, all nieces and nephews who use me for their bank accounts. But they don't want to stay with me. Lost my husband early, so I am alone with God who protects me. So all of us are not really completely happy. My source of joy and hope is God. That is how I get my peace of mind. Hope you can have that too. Take care.

Quit smoking a few years back when the ankle biter came... Will probably start again when she's off to college...

Never a fan of brandy... But liked B&B...

Beer and meat on a stick is my? go to for political discussion...

That's really sad.
You look like you're tall enough to carry that weight.

I'm fretting a bit, but not crying over the cigarettes, lol! My New Year's Resolution was to "determinedly prefer" a cup of tea to a cigarette break up to 50% of the time.

I am a LITTLE scared it might come down to sacrificing access to my beloved bacon at some point, but the relaxation of USDA inspection protocols for pork are affecting my dutiful worshipful adherence. I could possibly become a bacon apostate!

I do alright...

Excellent blood work... The doctors are always stumped...

But I really should try to lose a few pounds...

Mine come first....after that it's really not my responsibility, he who creates them should care for them.....like since the beginning of time.

Rugged individualism works out fine for rugged individuals.

But, assuredly, there is more. And it is better. For more individuals.

When these "responsibilities" become our blessings.

It is all a State of mind.

Ask CD about "ankle biters."

Have you tried switching to hand rolled cigarettes?

My wife's uncle did that and cut back big time... He found the process of packing and properly rolling a smoke almost as relaxing as actually smoking one...

Although I didn't find any enjoyment in the endeavor whatsoever

I use a pipe.

I once hand rolled a cigarette at a Waffle House. Policeman came over to investigate and ascertain the strain of tobacco I was using. It was home grown. Tennessee is a big tobacco producing State. I had a metal Prince Albert tobacco can I got from my Grandpappy along with a Zippo lighter. Now that rolling papers and pipes are considered "drug paraphenalia" I no longer take them with me in public. And currently, the public space for legal tobacco use has shrunk considerably.

I tried that...

It was my reward for going sober and nicotine free for a year...

Just to prove to my wife I could...

Didn't enjoy it... Although I liked the pipe tobacco... Kept some just for the occasional smell...
