I can see the potential for a world community but not an integrated one.

Back in the 60s, the Europeans organized something loosely termed 'play without boundaries'. Competitive sports events were held where all of the European countries could field their own teams. It proved to be fun and it brought the European nations closer together. None of the games were hard nosed competitions but were fun and satisfied the competitive urges of the players and the audiences. The eventual result was the EU.

Time has elapsed and it has become clear that the EU is failing. The difference is in the respect for the sovereignty of the nations. There is none any longer. Every European is subject to the dictates of Brussels.

Still, the 'play without boundaries concept was a complete success. The teams battled for the honor of their own languages, ideologies and ethnicities. There were no ill feelings generated by who won and who lost because the competitions were not serious, they were fun.

The long and the short of it is that cultures are the cornerstones of every human's existence. We can easily cooperate with one another until the competition becomes serious. We can all follow the same rules, external culture, just as long as we are allowed the maintain the integrity of our own culture. Assault that and cooperation dissolves.

We can become a global community but only by respecting borders and boundaries. No matter how cooperative we can eventually become in the external culture, that cooperation will end the instant one person feels his or her culture is being disrespected. That will invariably occur the instant someone feels subjected to someone else's cultural standards.

And that is why I feel that the L*****t in our Government believe they can grab what they can for themselves and run. Even if it means selling out, and stabbing Americans in the back.

I believe it goes a bit deeper than that. Consider that the 'united we stand' comment was famously used by Patrick Henry in our fight for freedom; but a generation later we fought a civil war.

We can be "united" in a particular cause that draws our attention - the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Tin Towers destruction united Americans - but our beliefs in our own communities will still keep us 'divided'.

We have had the country placating three basic groups. They can say and do wh**ever they want. However if white men in particular say or do anything then we are w***e s*********te and it is a h**e crime. I have also heard and read article by then violently denegrating others without problems. It is really hurting by preachers calling white Christians "Non Christians."
