So you want to go to war with American citizens then. Something tells me you aren't a Rand Paul fan.
Sorry, I almost overlooked the second sentence of your comment, re: Rand Paul.
I very much respect Rand Paul. At this point, other than Ted Cruz, he's the only candidate I would even consider in 2016. Of course, that is many moons away, and absolutely anything can, and probably will happen.
Why do you have the impression I wouldn't be a "fan," - well, actually that sounds like a teenager. I'm not a "fan" of anyone.
Several days ago, he made a strange backward flip, or so it seemed, regarding the use of drones. After standing for thirteen (13) hours to successfully make that point, it's a little strange to then reverse it??
I may have misunderstood his last statement. I'll have to look it up today.
I respect Rand Paul's courage. It's in rather short supply in the capitol at present. In fact, it's almost non-existent.
When, as a medical doctor, he speaks of holding a new born one and one/half pound infant in his hand, and how precious life is, he sends the message that those are tiny human beings that are being murdered in a******n clinics.
I also don't have a problem with his stance on foreign affairs, at least, not yet.
We should have left Afghanistan as soon as possible, after we got Bin Laden. He was the reason we went into Afghanistan.
We are not going to convince the Afghans to stop growing poppies. That has been their livelihood for between 3,000 to 4,000 years. The finished product is taken over the yellow silk road to China, and parts unknown.
We are not going to win their "hearts and minds," as long as they have copies of the Qur'an to memorize, for it literally addles their brain.
I believe we should have a strong military, but I would trust Rand Paul, and his common sense over Obama, who is busily gutting the military as quickly as he possibly can.
