I will admit I do not drink enough water myself....
Did you know that heart attack and water go hand in hand.
How many people do you know that say:
I don't want to drink water before I go to bed, because I'm going to have to get up at night...?

I didn't know this!
I asked my doctor why people piss a lot at night. The Doctor answered me, that a heart gravity holds water at the bottom of the body and when it is in the vertical position the legs swell. When you lie down, the lower body (legs, etc. ) are up to the kidneys, and that's when the kidneys eliminate water because it's easier.

I knew it takes minimum water to help eliminate toxins from the body. What I didn't know is, that drinking water at one point maximizes its effectiveness in the body, and the right time to drink it is:

2 glasses of water after waking up; helps activate internal organs.

1 Glass of water 30 minutes before a meal, helps digestion.

1 Glass of water before taking a bath, helps lower blood pressure.

1 Glass of water before going to bed, prevents brain stroke or heart attack.

I can also add this: my doctor told me that sleeping time water will also help prevent leg cramps.
Leg muscles are looking for hydration and hence the cramps awaken you.

A cardiologist said to share this with your loved ones, several lives can and will be saved.

I started using CPAP for sleep apnea in 1998. Up to that time, I had to get up at least 2-3 times each night to pee. When I started the CPAP, I stopped getting up at night. The book I read on sleep disorders said unless you get into REM sleep, you WILL have to get up to pee. When you go into REM sleep, urine production drops. This is why you don't have to get up during the night. I also confirmed this information with my sleep doctor, Dr. Jonathan R. L. Schwartz of Oklahoma City Integris Hospital. I also sleep on a Craftmatic bed with the foot raised the maximum and the head raised about half way. This helps drain the fluid from my legs (I also have congestive heart failure, which causes swelling in the feet and lower legs) and raising the head helps prevent reflux.
