Micah chapter 1
Verse 1
During the reign of these kings, Israel will be taken by Assyria, Judah will be predicted to conquered by Babylon. Israel has never returned. Judah would return in 1948. This book is primarily concerned with Judah.
Verse 2 - 5
God is speaking, we should listen. One day, we will all recognize God and His power. Israel and Judah lost everything they had because of their transgressions. If America doesn’t turn around and repent, we will do the same.
Verse 6 - 9
In Revelation, grapes are harvested with a scythe. Grapes are plucked. All that want to lead you to Christ, but not follow Him, will be destroyed. Reading the bible is more important than going to church.
Verse 10 and 11
Gath was an enemy city of the Philistines. Don’t tell them because they will be glad for the news. Aphrah means dust. Saphir and Bethezel were border cities of Israel before you entered Judah.
Verse 12
A lot of people are going to be disappointed when Jesus returns. They trust in their own righteousness When rejected, they will try to convince Christ that they should get in for what they did. Jesus doesn’t work through you because you are so good, but because He is so merciful.
Verse 13 - 16
The children of Jacob trusted in man instead of God. Even though God made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
