The only way for Europe to be saved is if it returns “to the source of its real values: its Christian identity,” declared Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban a few days ago.

He made the statement during his speech at the second International Conference on Christian Persecution, held in Budapest from the 26th to the 28th.

Speaking in reverent terms, Orban delved into his nation’s history to argue that their conversion to Christianity was the “the key to our survival,” and that “this legacy obliges us to protect Christian communities persecuted across the world as far as we are able.”

To that end, the prime minister touted the “Hungary Helps” program, started by the state in 2017, which provides aid to persecuted Christians around the world. This is not done through multinational intermediaries like the UN or NGOs, but by direct relationships between the Hungarian government and Christian communities. As of April 2019, “Hungary Helps” has distributed over $26 million.

Describing the program, Orban said: “We are giving persecuted Christians what they need: homes, hospitals, and schools,” and stated that his hope was to “receive in return what Europe needs most: a Christian faith, love and perseverance.”

He also called attention to the institutional discrimination Christians face in the West, particularly from their own political class, observing that “a mysterious force shuts the mouths of European politicians and cripples their arms,” with the result that “Christians are not allowed to be mentioned on their own, only together with other groups.”

Emphasizing the inextricably intertwined history of Christianity and Europe, Orban connected this attack to the other problems of “replacement of the population, immigration, stigmatization, insults and the muzzle of political correctness.”

The Hungarian prime minister has been at the head of the illiberal, nationalist resistance to globalism in Europe. His government has had considerable successes in restructuring the Hungarian economy to work for its people; providing better wages, restoring sovereignty, and undoing much of the disastrous exploitation of global neoliberalism.

Orban has made it clear that his governance model emphasizes the survival and well-being of the Hungarian people, rather than materialistic concerns about rigidly adhering to any economic or political system.

To this end, he has coupled bold economic programs to boost the gravely low native birthrate with a tireless crusade against the mass immigration invasion continuously pushed on the peoples of Europe by globalist international organizations like the EU, UN, and NGOs. In response to the massive flood of Middle Eastern and African migrants in 2015-2016, Hungary built tough border fences which cratered illegal entry by 99%.

Orban has also been diligently fighting a cultural war against leftist corrosion of Hungarian society. His government has conducted pro-life campaigns; banned Marxist gender studies; shut down a subversive university funded by George Soros; and continuously emphasized the primacy of Hungary’s Christian and ethnic identity instead of the invasive lies of secularism and multiculturalism.

In other words, time and again Viktor Orban has proved to be a steadfast warrior for Christianity and Europe, and his latest statements and the accompanying actions of Hungary in supporting persecuted Christians provide divine example to other leaders of Christian nations all over the world. May God bless Hungary and its people, and would that the US follows in its footsteps!

That's why Mr. Orban is my favorite European leader.

I really haven't heard much about him in the past. He obviously is not popular with the press, so his values must differ from theirs.

It sure sounds that was doesn't it. Sort of like Trump and the media.

He and the EU differ on nearly every issue. His country is becoming prosperous and remains safe while murders, rapes, and financial difficulties affect the rest of the EU. He even passed a tax cut for families that have more children. My kind of guy, he seems to have common sense and 20-20 vision.

You could almost say, he has Christian values, which is, after the benefit of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, i.e., reaping a forever future in God's presence, also synonymous with common sense, - but in the EU, how popular is that?

Yeah, you could say that, ha! Real men and women just do the right thing and it doesn't matter what the neighboorhood thinks or is doing or the government tries to convince you of. They are the, "me and my house will serve the Lord" group.

Common sense used to be seen as an attribute to one’s character, now it seems to be considered
Detrimental by many!

This Pope is at again. He recently called Trump, Herod, and now he is bad-mouthing Trump's efforts to bring peace to Israel. The guy never lets up and never gets it right.

Rhinehart Bunke has been called home. His ministry, Christ for all Nations, seems to have been left in good hands.

Hi, TexaCan,

It's hard to convince people with common sense to scurry down the rabbit hole with Alice.

Pope Francis is going to deeply regret the fact that there is no purgatory, by which he could be allowed to play catch up.

May Rhinehart Bunke rest in peace.

Our God is an excellent pre-planner, - not bad at assigning personnel either.

It's easy when you know the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end.

That does have to be an obvious advantage!

It's still an incredible amount of data to keep track of... and our God maintains His sense of humor toward those who make themselves His enemies.

Psalm 37:13-15
"but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.
The wicked draw the sword. and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.
But their swords will pierce their own hearts,"

Knowing the hairs on our heads and each Sparrow that falls kind of boggles the mind. AI would burn out it's servers trying to keep up. A lot of people are calling this the year of the boomerang. I hope they're right.
