Al Sharpton: Lack of black 2020 candidates is ‘wrong,’ a ‘problem’ for Democrats

Big Al Iz Pized

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Tuesday that the Democratic Party is going to have some explaining to do to black v**ers when not a single black p**********l candidate appears on the next debate stage.

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” the National Action Network founder weighed in on Sen. Kamala Harris announcing Tuesday that she was dropping out of the Democratic p**********l primary.

“I think that the real problem the Democrats are going to have is the next debate, you have no black [candidate] on that stage,” Mr. Sharpton said. “And the Democratic Party cannot have a stage where black v**ers do not see themselves reflected — where they don’t see themselves reflected and expect that we’ll come out and v**e in big numbers.

“You must have had black turnout, but we don’t turn up in the debate? There is something that is wrong with that, and some of us are not going to be quiet about it,” he added.

Mr. Sharpton went on to argue that Ms. Harris was “taken apart” and “treated badly” by the press, in part because “black women especially are held to a different standard” than others.

“Yes, there were organizational problems,” he said, referring to Ms. Harris’ campaign. “Yes, there were financial problems. But you have people on that debate stage who have no organization at all, and the press is not writing about it.

“What are you going to say to black v**ers when they look at that stage, and nobody like them is there?” he added. “The Democratic Party’s going to have to look at that and deal with that because that is a problem.”

Sen. Cory Booker and former Gov. Deval Patrick, the two remaining black candidates in the Democratic p**********l primary, have yet to qualify for the Dec. 19 debate. Mr. Booker on Tuesday called that fact “a damn shame.”

“I’m a little angry, I have to say, that we started with one of the most diverse fields in our history, giving people p***e,” Mr. Booker told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. “And it’s a damn shame now that the only African American woman in this race, who has been speaking to issues that need to be brought up, is now no longer in it.”

We started with one of the most diverse fields in our history. It’s a damn shame that the only African American woman in this race is no longer in it, and we’re spiraling toward a debate stage without a single person of color

I hope this jackass keeps talking. He poses as an elder statesman on TV. People kiss his butt. I remember the things he did in his past. I have zero respect for this man. He is a negative to whomever he helps, so I hope he keeps spouting and the left keeps listening.

Maybe if Kamala didn’t have such pie in the sky policy ideas she would be polling better than she was. I don’t believe it had to do with the color of her skin because the democrats would love nothing more than to put their “diversity” on display.

Booker is all up in arms too, the candidates are what they are, they either do well or they don't. We thankfully don't hear anything in the way of a demand for hispanic candidates.

I'm getting a bit s**k of hearing black voices talking about the importance of the black voice and the need to be telling b****s all the things that will be done for them. The things they have a problem with get a lot better under dem control, not any specific dem, democrat control.

.....By the nature of being human beings,b****s would never be remiss in feeling that the truest conviction toward fulfilling and achieving their agendas can only be met and achieved by they and those that are of their kind.
When faced with an adversity concerning ones very survival the basic instinct of self preservation can and will be served best by the animal trying to survive. No one loves self better than self.

I also remember. I was a New Yorker. He is a very big pile of schiff. What he did and why he never went to jail still baffles me.

Many do feel that way. It's been in their black consciousness this notion that they are unique in being the only group of people in the entire world ever ens***ed, that they are the most unique race, that only one of them could possibly understand what it is to be black. It's not all but it is a high percentage of b****s who feel this way.

And yes, it is i***tic.
