Explosion Strikes Iranian Weapons Depot in Syria - report
No information about the extent of the damage or any casualties has been reported.

Large explosions were reported at an Iranian base in Al-Bukamal in eastern Syria after unidentified aircraft targeted a weapons depot at the site, according to the Step news agency.

A correspondent for Step reported that Iranian m*****as fired anti-aircraft fire at a reconnaissance aircraft that was spotted shortly before the attack. Shortly afterwards, unidentified aircraft attacked the weapons depot and large explosions were heard and fire could be seen from a distance.

No information about the extent of the damage or any casualties has been reported.

During a visit to Lisbon, Portugal on Wednesday in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Netanyahu pointed to Iranian activity in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Gaza and Yemen, and said that Israel is “actively engaged in countering that aggression.”

When asked about the recent explosions heard in a Syrian weapons facility, Netanyahu chose to evade the question by saying "I don't comment on these kinds of things."

Sites controlled by Iran in the Al-Bukamal area have been targeted multiple times by airstrikes in recent months. A strategic border crossing between Iraq and Syria is located in the border town.

In November, the IDF struck tens of targets in Damascus, west of Damascus and the Syrian Golan Heights, belonging both to the regime of Bashar Assad and the Quds Force, within minutes in response to rockets that were launched towards Israel. All the targets were located within 80 km. of Israel’s border.

According to the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), 23 people, including 16 non-Syrians, most likely Iranians, were k**led in the Israeli airstrikes. A senior Israeli defense official acknowledged that there were wounded and a number of Iranian fatalities. Numerous others were wounded, including a young woman who was wounded by shrapnel that hit the suburb of Qudsaya, west of Damascus.

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett said following the strikes that “the rules have changed: Anyone who shoots at the State of Israel during the day will not sleep at night. Like last week and now this week. Our message to Iran’s leaders is simple: You are no longer immune. Wherever you stretch your tentacles – we will hack them off. The IDF will continue to protect Israeli citizens.”

Iranian forces and m*****as loyal to them are fortifying their positions in the Deir ez-Zor area in eastern Syria where Al-Bukamal is located, according to the SOHR. In September, at least 37 militants were k**led in two airstrikes which also destroyed vehicles, ammunition depots, weapons and buildings in the Al-Bukamal area. Many of those k**led were of Iraqi nationality.

In September, Fox News reported that Iran was building a classified military base near Al-Bukamal, less than 200 miles from an American position, with the intention of housing thousands of troops.

According to the report, the classified Iranian project is called the Imam Ali compound and is being completed by the IRGC. At least five different, newly constructed buildings surrounded by large dirt mounds could house precision missiles, Fox said. The other 10 less fortified storehouses in the base will likely hold ammunition.

The attacks in the Al-Bukamal area have been blamed on both Israel and Saudi Arabia.

"Saudi fighter jets have been spotted along with other fighter jets that have attacked facilities and positions belonging to Iranian m*****as," said an unnamed source to the Independent in Arabic. The attacks targeted positions belonging to the Quds force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in Albukamal and other areas near the Iraq-Syria border.

Saudi sources later denied the report, according to the Independent.
On September 9, airstrikes allegedly carried out by Israel destroyed a military base in the area under Iranian control, according to the SOHR.

Rockets were fired at Israel from the outskirts of Damascus by a Shi’ite m*****a operating under the command of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Quds Force after the attack on September 9.

What this may be leading up to is the destruction of Damascus in Isaiah 17:1, “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” Damascus is a 2,600 year old city that has never been destroyed. Scripture says the Israelis will be doing the destruction.

Is Iran’s New Nuclear Program Ancient Prophetic News?

Before sharing with you the information that stimulated their scholarly interests, it is prophetically expedient to preface the geopolitical importance of the Biblical interpretations that this article imparts. The destruction of Iran’s nuclear program might be the subject of Jeremiah’s ancient prophecy. Moreover, this prophecy can currently be classified as an imminent event.

The war-weary world is watching with worrisome eyes as Iran assembles a uranium enrichment arsenal that now numbers about 19,000 centrifuges. This many centrifuges spinning 24/7 can produce a nuclear weapon within about six weeks.[1] Perhaps even more startling is the June 9, 2014 headline below from The Washington Free Beacon:

“Israeli Official: Iran to Have 50–100 Nuclear Warheads by 2024”

For a plethora of justifiable reasons, Israel, many Arabs, and much of the international community are deeply troubled by the prospects of the current rogue Islamic Iranian regime possessing such a robust atomic arsenal. Jeremiah’s foretelling of Iran’s future presents us with a treasure trove of clues that may enlighten us about the fate of Iran’s current nuclear aspirations.

The following is an attempt to infuse Biblical commentary alongside actual—and possible future—news headlines, in order to provide a real-time interpretation of Jeremiah 49:34–39. At first glance, this unique approach of writing may appear to be a bad case of newspaper exegesis, an author’s attempt to make Biblical Scriptures marry up with current events. However, after reading the extensive research provided in my book, I believe you will forgive the author’s liberties taken below.

Jeremiah 49:34–39 in the News

“Iran Has Double Trouble Ahead, Ezekiel 38 and Jeremiah 49”

Jeremiah issued his prophecies concerning Elam about 596 B.C. Jeremiah wrote about Elam about a decade before his contemporary Ezekiel prophesied about Persia in Ezekiel 38:5. Ezekiel’s ministry spanned between 595–573 b.c.[3] Modern-day Iran is comprised of ancient Elam and Persia.

Ezekiel was familiar with Elam, according to Ezekiel 32:24–25, but he did not include Elam in the lineup of invaders in Ezekiel 38. Elam was probably intentionally omitted, because it is the subject of its own distinctly different prophecy, outlined by Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 49:35: Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their might.”

The Elamites were warlike people and expert archers, according to Genesis 14:1–9 and Isaiah 22:6. Jeremiah predicts that Iran will suffer the fate of a broken bow, which might imply that the IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) will be unable to launch scores of its missiles at its enemies. Additionally, he declares that Iran will be struck at the foremost place of its might, which today could infer an attack upon its nuclear program. One of Iran’s most strategic and vulnerable nuclear targets is the Bushehr nuclear reactor, located in the heart of ancient Elam.

Presently, Israel has dual concerns about Iran’s military intentions. They are concerned about Iran’s quest to obtain nuclear weapons, and the rogue regime’s obsession with developing ICBM’s.

The Jerusalem Post quoted Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on February 25, 2014, as saying to German Chancellor Angela Merkel:

“The goal is to prevent Iran from having the capability to manufacture and deliver nuclear weapons. I believe that means zero enrichment, zero centrifuges, zero plutonium, and of course an end to ICBM development. Because none of these elements —none of them—is necessary for developing civilian nuclear energy, which is what Iran has claimed that it wants.”

Jeremiah 49:36: Against Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and scatter them toward all those winds; there shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.

“The Next Chernobyl?”

Bushehr, however, could turn out to be the most dangerous piece of Iran’s nuclear puzzle for another reason: haphazard planning and ongoing technical problems mean it could be the next Chernobyl, igniting a humanitarian disaster and explosive economic damage across the oil-rich region.

— New York Times, 1/2/13

Jeremiah informs us that the attack upon the ancient territory of Elam will produce numerous refugees, perhaps even turning into a humanitarian crisis. Exiles will be dispersed worldwide, as if being blown about by overpowering winds. Several studies conducted of the safety of the Bushehr nuclear site have concluded that an accident at the facility could result in such a disaster.

Jeremiah 49:37: For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger, says the LORD; And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them.

Provoking the Lord’s Wrath
In addition to the Lord, Iran has othere enemies in this prophecy. The headlines above depict a few of them. Each enemy, for varying reasons, seeks to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear nation.

Additionally, Jeremiah says that Elam has stirred up the Lord’s anger, and that provokes the Lord to cause a severe disaster inside of Iran.

Perhaps this alludes to a nuclear disaster caused from a strike upon Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactor. “Nuclear Showdown in Iran” explains how the present Iranian regime has fiercely angered the Lord.

Jeremiah 49:38–39: “I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,” says the LORD. “But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,” says the LORD.

“Greatest Christian Revival in the World in Iran”

— World Net Daily, 7/25/12

Jeremiah’s last two verses present the exiles of Jeremiah 49:36 with great news. Iranians who accept Christ in advance of His second coming will be returned from global exile into the restored fortunes of their historic homeland in Elam. Moreover, Jerusalem (Jeremiah 3:17) and Elam (Jeremiah 49:38) are the only two earthly locations identified in Scripture for the future establishment of the Lord’s throne.

Presently, several million Iranians have already become born-again believers in Christ. In fact, Iran has the fastest growing evangelical population in the world. Multitudes of Iranians are accepting Jesus as their Savior through watching Christian satellite TV and experiencing miracles, dreams, visions and healings. This Christian back story is truly the big story of Jeremiah’s prophecy.

Big ditto on that timely information. Another big thanks on furthering information from Dave Hodges because I can no longer receive his posts. The carriers in this area in the Northeast are blocking information from sources that they do not want people to know about. Damn media blackout. A civil war could break out here in the United States and we would never know about it up here in the Northeast. Absolutely sickening.

Looks like the Iranian people will be free soon or too broke to pay attention to me. God is using Trump and it's obvious, everything he puts his hands to turn out "golden". It will only pick up speed as the swamp is drained and the NWO is crushed. Things are looking up for both Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Those poor people don't deserve that bulls**t. China sucks. My brother was telling me that a Chinese Bank that was 42 trillion dollars in debt just went belly-up. Don't know if you heard about it. But supposedly it's supposed to have a domino effect. And we've all heard rumors that when the Illuminati wants to crush the world economy they're just going to do it. I don't know how much t***h is behind it. But I guess that bank did go belly-up my brother researched it and it's true. I guess

I read something like that on Zero Hedge last week. I passed it on to Canuck whose news is filtered. He knew nothing about it. C*******ts and oligarchs always end up being a curse on the people. Taiwan did just get a lot of nifty new defense weapons. 66 new F-16 aircraft and the total package was worth 8 billion. China not too happy but they should stop stealing and keep their words. Or they are going to lose a lot more respect. It looks like Trump is trying to wean SE Asia off China's Belt and Road agenda. China was trying to intimidate Asia with it's militarized man-made islands. Asia needs free trade and the S. China Seas to remain open and free or everyone will be dominated by China from Korea to Australia.
