A baby said that if olive oil comes from olives he wondered where we get baby oil from and his next words were OMG. I wonder if he caught on soon enough to run.

Reminds me of Friskie's cat food. Many years ago they had a flavor called "ground kitty stew".......very disturbing.

I hope his mother caught him before he got too far and explained how consistent the English language is. She could start with explaining the word "up" (plagiarized from a previous post).

Whale oil comes from whale blubber, and olive oil comes from olives, and cod liver oil comes from the livers of cod fish, but baby oil comes out of the ground in the form of petroleum or crude oil and is an industrial by product resulting from the distillation of gasoline.

Interesting question but baby oil is mostly used for a fuel in boilers and power plants or for hydraulic oil in ships so that the Watermelons don't get their bloomers in a twist when the baby oil get's spilled in the ocean. After all, it's just baby oil. "See food grade mineral oil"
