I usually ask for a bowl for myself because I like to salt it and that's my good excuse.
I get embarrassed easily.
I don't want anyone eating off my plate unless I'm through with it.

I once threw an entire pot of chili out in the pasture because my brother in law came in, stuck his whole face in the pot to smell it, then proceeded to use a spoon to take 4 tastes out of it.
I was called an ass, but my point was made!

I ate dog on a lumber export ship I was invited on to. It was good. I thought I was eating baked boneless spare ribs. The pieces were floured salt and peppered and baked.

Took me a while to get used to that...

I lived close to Viet Nam refugees.
They put each course in the same bowl.
They ate the first thing then so on.
They were cute.
They'd come to your house and take their shoes off.
They'd look at your things and ask how much you give? Take me to Altuse, I buy.
We tried to explain high price and finance.
I worked with them.
When they got their first pay check, you should have heard them.
They were really going on in Vietnamese very loudly.
I told them, I don't really understand you, but I think your cussing about the withholding.
She sat behind me on our job.
One day I heard her say s.....
Van, I didn't know you talked like that.
She responded, I learn.
They told me their stories and my heart broke for them.

Chinese are amazed that you can purchase a house and then lose it because you don't pay a yearly tax...

There is a one time property tax over here... Applicable at the purchase of the property..

Texas has some of the highest property taxes of any state.
Mine have gone through the roof.
