Eagleye, this is a new one on me; never heard of them before. The Orthodox Church celebrates on Sunday.

Not really member of any church now.
I just attended a very small church years ago. I had a pastor who was a scholar. Great teaching and a good heart. He passed away.
I have been a studlier of many subjects.

To me the truth is important; so I strive to get to it.

Many churches use the identity of "Orthodox".
IMO; Saturday is the real Sabath, but not necessary adherence to have worth.
It is the correct teaching of the Word that counts.
IMO; It is not easy to find.

The Saturday Sabbath is appropriate to the Old Testament.

In the New Testament—which celebrates the resurrection of Christ on the first day of the week—the central experience of our faith as Christians is commemorated every Sunday of the year. We find the fulfillment to that which was revealed in the Old Testament.

We are under no more obligation to follow the Saturday Sabbath than we are to follow Old Testament dietary restrictions—upon which today’s Kosher laws are derived—or to practice circumcision as a sign of our covenant with God.

If you reread my previous post, you see we agree on no obligation.

As Christ said; He came to fulfill the law, not change it.

There us also a teaching that Christ was crucified on Wednesday because Thursday that week was a high Sabbath. By studying the four gospels we read that the followed and viewed where Christ was buried and then went home and rested on the Sabbath day as was accustomed by the law. After the Sabbath day they arouse and went and purchased the spices and then came home and prepared the spices and this was on Thursday. They then rested on the Sabbath day as was the costume. Then they arose early on the first day of the week which was Sunday and went to anoint the body of Christ. Remember that they were worried as to who would roll away the stone for them. But when they arrived at the grave sight the stone was already rolled away and when they entered in the angel proclaimed that Christ had already rose from the dead and was not there. That would put the resurrection at Saturday evening exactly three days and three nights from when Christ was placed into the grave.
